I don't have a problem with it but they're pretty firm about the no politics thing here.  Not that you actually said anything political but the mods may (or may not) take issue with the 'Member of the Democratic Party' line.  But like I said, it doesn't bother me.  I'd wait til you hear from a mod before you change it.

That's interesting, because i've seen bible quotes on here before.

I think I've seen a couple here and there too and I'm sure there are some that slip through the cracks but religion/politics are both off limits here.  Here's a link regarding political/religious posts.  http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/53719-politicalreglious-posts/

Granted its referring to 'posts' and not 'signatures' but I would imagine the same rules would apply.

Forum rules state everything. I've seen religion slip through the cranks and so has some politics but it doesn't turn into a debate or on the level of arguments, avoiding smack is the key.

Why would you post your political party on a bass forum? Makes no sense to me.

We really don't care. However, it could turn a number of people off and they will not give you their input.

Your other two interests are excellent to give us a better profile of your non-fishing interests.

The last entry is the best. We look forward to our input when we start our college football smack in August and through the season.

Did you make the MSU print small for a reason? Are you embarrassed by what Michigan, Ohio State and Rutgers will do to the football team this season? (Just kidding around but could not help myself)

First of all, I find that stating my political party says a lot about me, but will change it if approached by a mod.

#2, Rutgers?! come on dude. Rutgers is a joke in football. They will finish last in the conference for the next 2 years. Michigan? They'll be nothing without Denard. If Hoke is smart he'll have Shane Morris start at QB, he fits into his system much better than Gardner. Actually looking forward to see what OSU can do this year.

I work in sports radio/tv, so im pretty informed about everything.

Now you are getting with the program.

When the smack starts we expect you to join in.

Duffy would be proud.

Just watch out for Rutgers and hope you can open the season with wins over Western Michigan, South Florida and Youngstown State.

Especially Youngstown State.

MSU's schedule looks like the Bamasux schedule.

MSU does note face Rutgers this year. I can hear the sighs of relief in the football coaches offices.

The thing is, with religion and politics, they can be very divisive and can cause unneeded arguments between posters. I have seen it on many a message boards. and like others said no one really cares, and thats not meant to be disrespectful of you or your affiliations. its just best those things arent discussed here. at most, if someone is grieving, the mods have allowed threads for prayers to be sent out to fellow members who ask for them, but thats it and there is no actual discussion of religions taking place in those threads.

I'm an anarchist. No political affiliations here. Just a idea that human nature will never allow to occur. Since people will ALWAYS at least follow some one. Chaos and disorder excite me.

That there is proof that political beliefs have no bearing on accurate representations of who or what a person(s) is/are. They are just labels of an ideology that someone follows. It has in "most" cases no bearing on religious beliefs or other ideas/beliefs.

However, I pose this question. If an Anarchist is following a set of rules and is a member of a group of other Anarchist. Is that person still an Anarchist? Seeing as how anarchy is supposed to be no rules and no leaders.

No, it goes against their own ideology. Hence my assumption earlier.

That's my thought process on it as well. Very astute assumption by the way. I can definitely see them going hand in hand.

Hey guys.... no politics either, and this discussion is dipping a toe over the line.

Fair warning.

Forums are not public domain and are not subject to the 1 st amendment, an owner can run it as they see fit.  I have dropped out of groups and forums because of restrictions of content and censorship, it may be their policy but it isn't mine.  I do make an exception with BR, I like the forum and try not to swim against the current regarding certain subject matter.  I totally understand the reasoning behind these policies, but they are not my favorite aspect of Bass Resource, that said I'll continue to play by the rules.

Hmmmm, that's like kids (or any group) dressing alike in order to be different.

Anarchists rebel against laws and rules, choosing which they will abide by and those which they will disregard.  Which poses the question, why do societies have laws?

Laws/rules by themselves are nothing but societal standards.  They obviously cannot make anyone follow them.  Then what is their purpose?

They provide the means for a society to deal with those who refuse to abide by them, to the point of removing them from society.
