Greeneye8181 Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Although it wouldn't surprise me I've never seen or heard of counterfeit fishing reels. Looks at this website that originates in China http://www.valeogc.com/daiwa-reels-c-19_22.html Quote
Greeneye8181 Posted July 10, 2013 Author Posted July 10, 2013 In all my years of fishing I've never seen any counterfeit fishing gear! Why reels though? You would think rods would be much easier... But a Daiwa Certate for 175 bucks?! Yeah right. Quote
pbizzle Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Look at it this way. That Van Staal VM150 is being sold for $186, but retails for $449. What do you think. Quote
Sensei Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Hobie Pro Angler 14 for $1,420 instead of $3,000 definately looks like a BS site, how could they possibly sell things that cheaply. Their only contact info is leave them an email, no phone number or address I would save your money. Quote
Paul Peixoto Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Didn't go through the whole checkout process for this site but I found a website a while back like this. You had to buy a certain quantity and then at the end of checkout the shipping was obsurd. For example if reel A was 300 here it was 105 there plus 170 for shipping Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted July 11, 2013 Super User Posted July 11, 2013 Seems shady to me. I looked at their Native propel kayak and went through to the second page of checkout and shipping was a whopping $15... Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted July 11, 2013 Super User Posted July 11, 2013 It's a straight up scam. The stuff isn't counterfeit because there is no stuff. They will take your money and you will never see it again. If it seems to good to be true, IT IS!! Quote
EvanT123 Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 I'm pretty sure the site doesn't accept paypal or credit card. Money order only; stay away. Quote
