james_oxley Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 I am planning on picking up a shimano crucial rod for jig fishing and some flippin of creature baits. I am stuck between the 7'5" heavy flippin rod, the 7'7" MH xfast flippin rod, and the 7'2" MH xfast worm and jig rod. Any suggestions? Quote

For flipping I'd go with the 7'7" as the longer rod will help with flipping. Although all 3 probably can handle what you are looking for, so it's up to you if you want the longer rod (comfort and preference). I own the 7'2" MH/XF and like it for my purposes 2nd 1/2-5/8 oz jig and worm. Quote
TNBassin' Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 7'7 MH xf would be my choice. I have the 7'2 mh xf for jigs and I love it. Quote
