moguy1973 Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Looks like Power Pole is coming out with a small, portable pole anchor system for use in small craft, including kayaks! http://www.power-pole.com/jlmarine/power-pole/micro.aspx Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Sweet! Me and my friends were kidding around about putting one in my canoe... 1 Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted July 10, 2013 Super User Posted July 10, 2013 Sorry but that is way overkill on a kayak. I would rather use my Yak Attack park n pole and be able to us it as a push pole at the same time without adding more weight and be able to use it in my anchor trolley to position myself appropriately given the wind. 1 Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted July 10, 2013 Super User Posted July 10, 2013 Oh boy ... Can't wait to see the Yak that has two of these on either end. 1 Quote
Hanover_Yakker Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 I like the idea for some of the small one-person skiffs people use in the saltwater or jon boats but even in my Pro Angler, the additional effort to remove and install the device before and after every trip plus the additional weight factor would negate any operational benefits for me. I'll stick with my 6' and 8' YakAttack Park-n-poles like flyfisher said. That way I can pole about and get a better anchoring position relative to the current when I need to use it. 1 Quote
