ACORO Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Looking for some good spots to catch some bass and striper. Quote
Godspeed409 Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 depends on where your at. Norcal Is a big place. Clear Lake is obviously amazing. The Delta as well. Ive had luck in Ione, CA at purdee and Camanche. Lake Oroville. Bite has been tough at Folsom, and Jenkinson (Sly Park) and they are not exactly my favorite places to fish. Quote
rangerboy Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 best all around place is the delta..... don't forget your wind breaker Quote
Super User David P Posted October 2, 2013 Super User Posted October 2, 2013 Delta if you want Largemouth and those awesome silver fish. NorCal is covered in lakes and a great majority have bass, so really depends where you live. Quote
pancityhanman Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 MOVING TO CLEAR LAKE SOON.... CAN'T WAIT! Quote
NorthIDBasser Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 A few of my close friends fished Clear Lake last April during B.A.S.S divisionals and can't stop talking about it. A few of us are thinking of making a bonsai trip down in late march. Will that still be pre-spawn typically that time of year? Quote
NorthIDBasser Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Sorry that probably should be a different topic/post altogether....I'm new to this Quote
starcraft1 Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 April is Pre-spawn to spawn time on Clear Lake. Some bed fishing, but more on the jig & swim bait bite. The big cows will be staging by then but with this weather, you could be looking at a full on spawn. State & country parks, Rodman, the banks on hwy 20- Lucerne area, and the keys should be your best bets. Quote
Super User Oregon Native Posted February 27, 2014 Super User Posted February 27, 2014 Had the fortune to fish Clear Lake a number of years ago during the spawn. It was a week of intense fishing and passing up 3 and 4 pounders near end of the week. Hands were bloody from all the fish. Truely amazing. Good Luck Quote
Dee Money 916 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 CLEAR LAKE hands down is the place to go. . . the dirty "D" (california delta) would be my second place to go (hence the 1,000 + miles of water-way). Nevertheless, Clear lake is AMAZING in the quality and quantity of fish you can catch. I have literally caught 50 + bass in a day at clear lake, I never thought I could get tired of reeling in fish. . . clear lake has humbled me. nuff said. . . tight lines to all. Quote
NorthIDBasser Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Thank you for the pointers! I live way up in northern Idaho on Lake Coeur d'Alene so its gonna be a long drive down but I hope we can make it happen in the next few weeks. Quote
