Super User AK-Jax86 Posted July 9, 2013 Super User Posted July 9, 2013 These fish must have been bred during the baseball steroid era THEY ARE MASSIVE! Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted July 9, 2013 Author Super User Posted July 9, 2013 These are "typical" fish of Lake Baccarac. It truly is an AMAZING fishery, and the best lake in the world right now to catch a DD bass! If anyone is interested in going, contact me here on BR, or via email at Jeffstravel@yahoo.com Right now I have a discounted rate on a trip going down on October 16th via private air directly to the lake. Super User Dwight Hottle Posted July 9, 2013 Super User Posted July 9, 2013 Having read thru the previous years fishing reports for that time frame I noticed a lot of topwater bites. Imagine your first DD on a topwater bait! 2 Quote

Super User 00 mod Posted July 16, 2013 Author Super User Posted July 16, 2013 In the last ten days, we are starting to see a rise in the water level with the recent rains. We have also seen an explosion in activity on the lake. Recent trips by Brad Netherton, Shane and Travis Ryal produced plenty of fish between 8 and 12.9 lbs. Fantastic crank bait action but also fishing worms along the flooded timber is producing 50 – 70 fish a day. We are posting pictures over the next couple of weeks in the new photo gallery as proof of these amazing catches. We have groups arriving the lodge this weekend and we will have reports for you next week! - See more at: http://www.lakebacca...h.VmYRHkCX.dpuf Jeff 1 Quote

EllerEOD Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 I fished there in 1992, was putting our boat in the water and a guy who had been there all week was pulling out and getting ready to head home. He gave me the last three motor oiled colored worms that were in a one gallon zip lock bag, he told us the bag was full when he arrived one week earlier. We absolutely slayed them, the average wieght for the week was 7.5lbs, it was amazing, actually got tired of catching fish!! Amazing place. 2 Quote

Super User 00 mod Posted August 31, 2013 Author Super User Posted August 31, 2013 Big rains happening at the lodge right now. Lake is rising to over 50% full. Here is a pic from our last trip down when the lake was in the lower 30% capacity, and a shot from today at just over 50% full. Fishing will resume at the end of the rainy season which should be the 3rd week of September. I will have a detailed report with many pictures from that week. Expect the next update to be around September 26th. Jeff 3 Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted September 1, 2013 Super User Posted September 1, 2013 I just hope she is as generous with her big fish as she is with her beauty. 2 Quote
