Hi Everyone,

Been lurking for awhile gathering information and thought it was time for an introduction and perhaps some participation.  I was a saltwater guy for decades and now just getting into bass fishing here in southern Missouri.  The only freshwater I did was in a few trips to northern Canada with mostly Pike and Muskie.

My co-worker has a nice bass boat and I am currently going about twice a week on the local lakes. I also fished a couple of night tournaments.  Although my friend has extensive tournament bass fishing success we differ in our preferred fishing styles.  He likes to go fast, use heavy conventional gear, button drags down and pull some bass heads off. Having caught a lot of large fish with light lines all the way up to tuna and marlin in saltwater, I prefer light lines, spinning gear, shaky heads, drop shots, finesse etc for bass.  I am still putting together all my equipment so I might be buying some rods etc on the flea market if I can't find some decent discounts etc.

I am here primarily to get information on the light line techniques my local buddies are not into.  I plan on getting an aluminum boat soon so I can put it altogether myself.  Oh, my wife likes to fish too which lets me buy the boat and equipment without too much fuss.
