CPBassFishing Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Well, I caught my first bass on the rat wakebait I made in applied tech out of pine. I painted it with black acrylic paint. I just went to the pond at the end of my street to test it out. I chucked it right next to a stump and started waking it. Saw a decent splash so I set the hook and fish on! Only a little over a pound but it was a nice surprise that I did not expect. Don't be afraid to throw ugly lures, they work! The rat's body is 5" and the tail is 4". 1 Quote

Low_Budget_Hooker Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 right on. I often replace the tail on my ms slammers with a 9" needle worm,....awesome profile if you like big baits. Catching on a hand made swimbait is the bomb. Catch 'em up! Quote
Brian Needham Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 so awesome to catch something on something you made, especially a bait that big! Quote
