Moving Tackle Question Please Help

Relocating and have a garage full of tackle. Bass fishing tournaments for 20 years. Question is do you keep stuff that worked in years past that has not been used for years or get rid of it?

I in the middle of moving and I'm going to organize mine so can see the old stuff and actually use it.

I guess you have to keep what you think will work. Lures go out of favor, in my opinion, not because they don't catch fish but because new products come along that have more marketing appeal. We all have to come up with some way to prioritize based on available space and our own attitudes about lures.

I dont see why you would get rid of it. Fish are not going to be living 20 years, so maybe the baits you used 20 years ago will be something completely new to the fish in lakes and rivers today. I would keep it and try it out. If it worked back then, it should work now.

Well... according to Paul Elias when he set the heavyweight bass record on falcon lake a few years back.... He said he had an OLD random bag of Mann's 12inch jellyworms sitting around and thought "what the heck, i'll bring those." He left the house and felt like he was forgetting something, and remembered THE JELLY WORMS! Turned around and went to pick them up. He ended up catching some winning fish on that lure. He was glad he brought them. Moral of the story - don't throw any of it away unless they are broken or dried out.
