troythebassman Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I will be going to bobs fishing hole on the Northwest River sometime in the near future and I would like to have some insight on where to fish there. My dad and i will be renting a small jon boat and we only have a trolling motor. So we cannot go too far for the boat ramp. I was wondering if you guys had any experience at bobs fishing hole! any advice will be much appreciated! Thanks Quote
Hogsticker Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Bobs fishing hole? If you can't travel to far from the ramp it seems your options are fairly limited to begin with. This one is a head scratcher. Was I just punked? Quote

troythebassman Posted July 4, 2013 Author Posted July 4, 2013 Why dont you just ask the people at Bob's? I suppose I could, however, the people arent too friendly but yeah i will give it a shot haha. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted July 5, 2013 Super User Posted July 5, 2013 Geez.... The guys aren't too friendly? Find another lodge. 1 Quote
Hanover_Yakker Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 I can give you a little insight on this one. Bob's is a well known spot for local anglers - most notably crappie and perch anglers. They hold several tournaments out of there, so unless you are in the know or have done your homework, you are not likely to get many tips from them. I wouldn't shy away from it, but you might find better options at other places. Have you ever considered chartering a saltwater trip? That might be an option as well. Quote

The reason we go to bobs is because it is only 20 bucks to rent a jon boat. I dont have a ton of money to spend on charters either because i am only 18. Quote
