What are some of your favorite "Old School" bass baits?

What are some of your favorite baits that you or your father used to catch bass that you can no longer find? If you have a picture that would be cool too.

I use these baits nearly every time out.

Jitterbugs, one frog pattern, the other black jointed.

Hula Popper in perch pattern.

DareDevil spoon in red and white stripe.

An old Mirro-Lure I used to use Snook fishing when I lived in Florida.

My father didn 't fish however I 've been long enough in this sport to have fished ( and still do ) with old school baits, my t box has Jitterbugs, Arbogasters, Hula Poppers, Spooks, Sonics & super Sonics, Tadpoles, Hellbenders, Waterdogs, original bombers, Mud Bugs, Sputterbugs ( now named sputterbuzz ), Lucky 13s, River Runts n 'such, they still catch fish .... which only proves that bass were as dumb 30 years ago as they are now.

Why would some one stop using a highly productive lure just because of the era in which it originated is beyond me.

In the marshes of Southwest Louisiana nearly everyone has gone frog crazy!

So ole Catt breaks out the Johnson Gold Spoon

Jitterbugs and Hula Poppers are good... still easy to get around here, though.

I have an old Smithwick Devil's Horse that was my grandpa's. It's with my "retired" lures because I would be too scared to lose it. I use newer ones quite frequently though. Great classic topwater. Love the Horse!

I've caught a lot of bass on one of these with a black skirt and gold blades.

The old jitterbugs have much better action and noise than the new ones, so I still use old jitterbugs quite a bit.

I also throw a few old creek chubs (pikies, injured minnows), heddon river runts, and south bend bass o renos every now and then.

I don't use any nice ones as that can be kinda pricey.

I used to collect Punkinseeds, but never have fished with one. I may have to give that a shot. I love those old lures

I have a Heddon Punkinseed that I throw sometimes, although I have yet to catch anything with it.

I think when they put that rattle in them it changed the action.

I catch bass all the time on saltwater lures and vice versa.  Predatory fish are pretty much the same, I don't think fish are as near fussy as many people seem to think.

I havent found a snagless sally in any store in southwest florida. Its my understanding its discountinued. I havent found it on yakimas site either. Thinking about making them from parts available from janns or barlows.
