I know I have few days left, but I am going to end this month on a high note with that peacock. My elbow is really acting up with all of this fishing, and I am ignoring the warnings. If I continue I will be in trouble. Best of the luck to rest of the participants. Although it was slow, I had a good month. Caught a 6lb bass and beautiful peacock bass. Til next time. Quote

Well I like laughing at myself a lot, so I figured I'll share what gave me a great laugh today. I fished this turnpike pond and nailed 20+ bass, largest was 18", smallest was, well, you see it Figured no point taking pics of 18" fish with the monsters you guys have been catching though Quote

The spot you chose, the background looks great for frogging that grass, I see. The pond really looks like its pretty flooded. I could be wrong, I am basing it out of one pic. Also, it does not sound like you were run off by troopers. That's a plus too. Quote

Â i was frogging it for an hour and got nothing, so i switched rods and went with zoom lizard and that's when it really picked up. some spots i was landing fish on every cast and no, no troopers to be seen, only drivers entering highway and honking at me LOL Quote

Super User AK-Jax86 Posted July 28, 2013 Super User Posted July 28, 2013 Me, Czar, and our buddy went out to OPCC at 5:30a and on his first cast our buddy gets a nice 3# on the frogs we use. I had a few misses and landed a nice 6lb 22" right at the shore! I was using a frog and got a wind knot. My frog was probably 20 feet or so from me in the water. I'm trying to get the knot out for a few mins and my foot hits the line and then the frog moves and I see this huge wake inches away from my frog. So at that point I am trying to clear the wind knot as fast as I can. I reel in the slack a little and leave the frog still for another 3 mins while I get the rest of the knot. I think to myself to bounce the frog again so I do and huge ripple again right next to it. I get the knot out and reel about a foot and then the fish slammed my frog and started pulling drag from the shore Quote

bass Czar Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 went early in the AM with Ak we got a lot of fish and had a lot of misses too...here are my biggest 2 on a crank and buzzbait got another 19in to replace my lowest 17in ...new total:18,19,19,19,21=96the crew went out early today to opcc the guys land 2 big fish I had 1 ok size missed a lot on the frog, but AK and I went to our other spot after OPCC I land 2 big nice ones 19 & 20in all in the first 4 or 5 cast, I was using a 1/8 small red buzzbait only 1 replacement fish for my top5.. new total:19,19,19,20,21=98 3 Quote

Always seems like the fish you catch at your spots are fat Im not sure. I think I made it just over 100". I havent really had much time to get into it very well this month. Pretty sure you got it again lol. Im getting into a bass club to do some tourney fishing too soon, so that might pressure more big fish up comming months >:-) Quote

I was out in margate at around 4:30pm caught a few small bass largest maybe 2#'s and one small snakehead. I had went out earier on sunday morning at the end of royal palm blvd and sawgrass and got skunked.
