Super User FishTank Posted March 25, 2007 Super User Posted March 25, 2007 I am looking to replace some treble hooks on a few old bait and just wanted to hear about everyone's favorite. Thanks again for any info. Quote
Hawgin Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 I think as long as you go with one of the better brands like Gamakatsu, Mustad, Owner, or VMC you will be fine. I would avoid the Eagle Claws and any of the store brand hooks (like BPS or Cabelas) Quote
The_Natural Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Daiichi 4x bleeding trebles, available at Cabelas in 100pks for $23.99, or $4.XX for a filler pack. I just buy the bulk packs to save money...it's quite a bargain. Also, the red anodized coating seems to last at least twice as long as other hooks. Strong and sticky! Quote
Super User Maxximus Redneckus Posted March 25, 2007 Super User Posted March 25, 2007 GAMAS or VMC cant go wrong !! Quote
Pa Angler Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 I have used Gamakatsu's, Diachi's, Mustad's Ultra Point, VMC's and yes Eagle Claw's Laser sharp hooks and would not hesitate to use anyone of these. The choice is yours. Quote
Super User Marty Posted March 25, 2007 Super User Posted March 25, 2007 Like some of the previous repliers, I've also used different brands and been pleased, such as Eagle Claw Lazer Sharp, VMC, Owner, Gamakatsu and others. I just tend to buy what's available here at a decent price. Quote
