I was wondering what would be a good fish graph to start with it will be going into a aluminum boat I don't have any preference on brand or anything just need one to get started with an learn how to use them an interpreted what I'm looking at

That's a loaded question brandonss. What's your budget? What are your expectations? Do you want/need GPS? Imaging? B&W or color?

I would like color don't have to have GPS but would be nice budget would be bout 500 I wanna be able to find ledges. An stucture so I can start learning how to fish deeper water

The interpretation deal takes the effort by you to take the time to learn it.

 

If you have no knowlege about marine electronics, you would benefit from sources that explain what and how they do what they do.

After you do that you will have some idea of what to expect and what equipment would give that to you.

Most brands have equivelent models in about the same price range.

Humminbird and Lowrance are the big 2 when it comes to bass fishing. You can get a pretty decent graph for $500. I'm experienced with HB products. The 587ci HD Combo is in your price range. Color, GPS, Down Imaging and 2d sonar. You can jump up to the 700 series units which have a slightly larger screen but you will lose features at that price point. IMO the HB units are more user friendly than Lowrance.
