Would you guys recommend Yozuri Hyrid for topwater?

I would not recommend it. You can get by with it in a pinch, but it has a tendency to sink. For proper action, I choose a line that is going to float. Mono is an excellent choice for topwater.

I use it all the time for walking baits, works fine for me. I could see how it might have issues for poppers, but I honestly never had a problem there either, though I'll typically fish a popper fairly quick. It certainly dosen't sink fast like fluoro, it will float for a few seconds before it very slowly begins to sink. I personally like it for topwater.

I've used it religiously for 7-8 years. Much like .38, I tend to fish faster worked baits like Sammie's on it, but have used it on poppers, propbaits, and dead sticking large walking baits.

Bottom line, it will work great. Most wouldn't be able to tell the difference in it and the traditional nylon based lines if handed a reel spooled with it.

Ive never had a problem with it, thats my all purpose line so it gets used for top water, but then again Im not pausing baits for 1-2 mins so I cant comment on sinking.

Thanks guys. It seem like I don't need to head out and look for some mono line then.

I have found that I can't make my frogs walk with it. I have a new setup with braid to try walking frogs with but I can't get them to go back and forth with hybrid. It works fine for me with WTD type hard baits and poppers though.
