How big is your boat? How much are you looking to spend?

Need more info. There are different brands, different models, different applications, different voltages. To start with, what size boat? Bow mount or transom mount?

Based upon the information you have provided, I would suggest that you buy an electric trolling motor.  :doubt:

Personally I haven't been impressed with the Motorguide units I have owned.  My next one will be a Minn Kota.

ive got a minn kota thats about 12 years old or more lol....ive seen gas powered trolling motors and im thinking about one for my john boat to go with the elec(im 300lbs so needs to be pretty light or ill sink hahaha)
