Where would you find them?

TW or bass tackle depot. but i totally forgot about the powell diesel 7'6. that would be the rod for you. its just as good as the rods i was talking about

You could also get the Powell Diesel for around $55 with that sale

the $69 dollar Power Diesel is not really a flipping rod/stick IMO.  It's probably a nice stiffer rod, but they have a flipping rod line that is in the $160 range.  When I think Flipping Rod/Stick, I think HVY action IMHO

Have you used the rod? It has plenty of power. Powell rates it as a 5 power rod. It has plenty of backbone and its action is more like a fast action. I prefer 7'6'' Mod-Fast rod, but the guy isn't wanting to fork over a lot of money and the diesel is a pretty good value, especially discounted.

I haven't and your probably right, I just think HVY when I think Flipping (Big Stick) Rod

Powell classifies that 7'6'' as medium heavy on TW, but the model is 765cef. Thus, it is a 5 power rod which would be X-Heavy. I would recommend using at least a heavy rod as well for flipping. With that said, some of the 7'6'' rods in the $100 price range feel like broomsticks.

It is listed as a mh but it's a H or maybe more. I own an *** black in H and it's stiffer then that. I've flipped 1-1.5oz tungsten with it and it's fine.

fish ranger has them for 49.99

765CEF- Measuring 7'6” long, this is the longest rod in the Diesel lineup. The added length and muscular power rating makes this an ideal rod for flipping, pitching, punching in thick cover, as well as doubling as a nice swimbait stick.

I have no complaints with the bass pro extreme rod. 7'10" I think it was 69.99. Actually I was very impressed with the quality since I ordered it online and never actually saw it in person.
