I'm looking at picking up a Powell Max or Endurance but I can't seem to find the right one for spinnerbaits....I want one that's under 7 feet, and I don't want a MH rod...I'm looking for around 6'8-6'9 M, XF or F.... What model would this be?  If there is one that's more appropriate let me know as far as specs are concerned.  Thanks!

Powell Casting Rod 6'8" Med Hvy EF 683C

683 CEF. Powell's 6'8" Medium-Heavy Casting Rod is an ideal rod for spinnerbaits, small jigs, or senkos. This rod can effectively fish a wide selection of baits. The sensitive extra-fast action rod tip allows for accurate casts and quick solid hooksets.

this looks like your best choice, no medium choices unfortunately

I used the same rod for primarily spinnerbaits, but you can use it for just about anything. I caught more fish with that rod than any other rod I have had because it was so versatile.

I have the 683cef and it was the first real casting rod I ever owned. When I got it; it felt like a broom stick to me. I was used to ugly stick and cheap $20 dollar casting rods. Now that Ive used itand other higher end casting rods I am amazed at its versatility. I used mine now for frogging with 40lb pp but its great with spinnerbaits, traps even senkos. TT did a review on the rod and they were casting 2oz castasic swimbaits on it. So it's definetly a versitale rod and I think you would be happy with it as a spinnerbait rod.

The 683 and 723 are awesome spinner/chatter bait rods. I would argue that they are not true med hvy, more like a mag med...i have 2 723s...

Not trying to argue or discredit your opinion but comparing the powell 683 to my loomis 783 the powell feels more powerful. Also not trying to hijack the thread but what med heavy are you comparing it too.

I have a max 703C and endurance 723. Both are great rods. You can't go wrong with the 683
