My local waters are all with in an hour round trip.

My favorite smb place is an 8 hour drive south east.

And my favorite lmb waters involve a commercial flight, a brief stop at Customs, followed by private air travel.

10 min drive to my home lake, and 1-3 hour drive to all the other lakes I fish.

I used to walk about fifty feet to the ohio river. Since the divorce I have not got to fish as much. But I can be at about 20 bodies of water to fish within 30 minutes of where I live.

8 minutes to the closest launch on Champlain, 8 minutes to the closest "bass" water. 45-50 minutes to the ole trailer park pond (set PB there 3 times).

30 minutes is about where I cut the radius. My current set up with my patriot and 14' limits me some on landings and my trailer isn't great for long hauls. I'm hoping to upgrade in the fall when people don't want to winterize their boats.

45 minutes to an hour and a half, each way for fishing around home.

In keeping with the title of the thread, I travel as much as 24 + or - hours to fish with the gang that attends the Bass Resource Road Trip.  Doesn't matter, Pickwick, KY Lake, Guntersville, they are all 1200+ miles.  But, I make it almost a two week trip.  Two to three days travel round trip, depending on whether or not I drive straight through, and nine to eleven days of fishing.

Kissimmee - 75 minutes

Harris  - 90 minutes

Istokpoga - 2 hours

Okeechobee - 3 hours

Stick Marsh - 2 hours

There are another 50 decent lakes within an hour.

Within 15 minutes there are several big fish pits.  The fish pic to the left came out of one last year.

Central Florida is a wonderful place.

A big fish pit? Would that be a strip pit or something completely different?

Old phosphate pits (50-60 years old) that have been turned into county parks.  They have good big fish populations.  Most of them don't get fished very hard because they require a different approach to catch fish.  If you know how to fish them, they can be a lot of fun.

The drive time to the nearest lakes around me are about 5 min., 15 min., and 30 min.  However, those lakes have very heavy fishing pressure.  A trip down to the Ozarks, depending on the lake I am going to, takes anywhere from about 2 hrs to 5 hrs.

Smallmouth stream in my back yard, home lake 5 mins to the first launch, fav lake to frog about an hour, fav elec lakes about 1.5 hours, fav BIG lake 1 hr. Great Lakes/Chautaqua = 3 hours

I have a seasonal RV on a lake about 180 miles away that I use as my home base (North Central MN). From there, I have about 20 lakes within 15 minutes that all hold great numbers of LMB. Not the size you all have in the south but they fight like they're twice as big. MY PB is about 5.5 lbs (profile picture). I didn't weigh this one because I was just driving around with my wife scouting and stopped at a roadside drainage threw out my Scumfrog and bam! Fat ole female. Regardless of weight though, it's the biggest bass I've caught.

for freshwater i have 2 canals and a lake that i could walk to all of them in about 1 minute...they are all same distance just different directions

for saltwater thats a tough one...i love fishing the jupiter inlet and also the lake worth spillway and the jupiter inlet is about 40 mins or so away...the lake worth spillway is about 20 minutes away

In MN, i just walk down to my dock.  ive got a boat with aces to over 26,000 fishable acres through a river chain including a 16,000 acre lake within about a 15 minute boat ride. And hundreds, if not thousands of lakes within a 2 hour drive.  Sometimes i will drive up to lake of the woods MN/CA, which is about a 3-4 hour drive. Or the french river in canada which is about a 5-6 hour drive.

In wyoming, anywhere from 1/2 mile to 200 miles depending on where i want to go.  But usually within 20 miles average.

2 minute bike ride to the end of my street pond.

7 minute bike ride to another pond next to a community pool.

15 minute bike ride to my favorite gold course pond.

I can walk to Falls Lake Hickory Hills boat ramp in 10 mins.  It's a 4 mile roundtrip from 'garage' to ramp.  It's taken me 15 years to finally get a boat and fish it.

During the week I'll fish a very small lake that is about 10 minutes away from my house. I go different places during the weekend but the place I go to the most is about 30-45 minutes away. I will travel up to 3 hours sometimes on the weekend.
