Smallmouth Hunter Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I found a guy who is selling 2 curado dhsv. He says they are brand new, in box and they are $50 each. Should I buy them? Also, I don't know a lot about the older shimanos, what does the "dhsv" mean? Were the "d" series a good series of shimano? ( im guessing d is separate from the hsv and d is the series it is) Quote
Super User rockchalk06 Posted June 26, 2013 Super User Posted June 26, 2013 http://www.tackletour.com/reviewshimanocurado200dhsv.html Tackle Tour gave it a 9.08. I know nothing about them, but at that price, there will be a line to buy them. Quote
Smallmouth Hunter Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 WOW! I should probably jump on this deal! Quote
Super User rockchalk06 Posted June 26, 2013 Super User Posted June 26, 2013 WOW! I should probably jump on this deal! If you don't, I'm going to drop kick you in the nuts! Lol. Kidding aside, I don't think you could find two finer quality reels for that price, in both our life times! Quote

Super User Jrob78 Posted June 26, 2013 Super User Posted June 26, 2013 The 100d is my favorite Curado. They go for $80-$100 used in good shape. I would scoop them up and resale them if you don't want them. Bummer, never mind. Quote
Super User lmbfisherman Posted June 26, 2013 Super User Posted June 26, 2013 You should've jumped all over that deal, those go for 150 around these parts used. Quote
Super User MarkH024 Posted June 27, 2013 Super User Posted June 27, 2013 I have one. Phenomenal reel. I'd bought both without blinking as long as they were in good condition. Quote

I use mine for a small musky set up but I'm converting it to my large swimbait rig because I'm envious of the pigs Speedbead and Ajay catch. No in all serious ness its sitting without a rod because I don't musky fish nearly as much. Time to put it to use. Need a rod first though so that is ehere my next purchase is going. Along with some expensive swimbaits! Quote
