Finally got around to upgrading the drag on my chronarch 200e7 and cannot get the drive gear off. I don't understand. I've done this 3 other times with 2 citicas and a carbon lite with no issues. Advice?...

This is a common occurrence with many reels, if you are having to pull harder than you like to remove the gear, try using an emery board or wire brush to clean the ridges that are holding the gear from sliding up the shaft.

It's just a tighter tolerance. Pull straight up while working the gear side to side, it will come.

What he said!! Take your time and don't force one side, keep it even back and forth!! GL!
