I haven't see the Abu Garcia Vigilante before is it a older type of rod? Anybody ever use it before? If so how is it?

After a little interwebz research, the Vigilante rod line seems to be sold only at Wal-Mart. Abu Garcia doesn't show it on their website. From what I saw and read, it seems like a pretty decent rod for ~$40.00.

From what I can tell, it's the vengeance with out the pretty graphics and it also has a different reel seat.

It's NOT anywhere near the quality of a Vengeance. My wife's aunt has one and it's a CHEAPO rod if there ever was one. For $50 you can get a Vengeance which is leaps and bounds better than this turd.

Held it at Wal-Mart Saturday and couldn't stand the full Eva grip. I think it's the same blank as the vengeance, but with less quality guides and reel seat. I would go with the vengeance for a little more.
