Incheon Basser Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 anyone here fish these some what new Japanese cranks? just picked up a few here in SK. they are supposed to be the new big thing. over 20 bucks a pop but supposed to be better than mega-bass EG and LC. I know they are big on Fly hooks but am curious how their hard baits will stack up in the premium JDM world Quote
Dockhead Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 just picked up a few here in SK. they are supposed to be the new big thing. over 20 bucks a pop ... Trying to spend that $400 before the month ends or what!!?? ;D I haven't heard of them - got any pics? Quote
Super User T-rig Posted July 1, 2010 Super User Posted July 1, 2010 Tiemco Baits have been around for years. Good baits IMHO! I think you paid too much for the lures. On Ebay you can get some Tiemco lures from japanese sellers alot cheaper. Try the Mad Pepper Magnum as a alternative to the Lucky Craft D-20. The Diving Pepper is also a good little crank. They also make jigs and softbaits. http://english.tiemco.co.jp/project/fishing_catalog/show_bass?scene=bass&category=14 Here some videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/tiemcoltd1#p/u Quote
Incheon Basser Posted July 1, 2010 Author Posted July 1, 2010 Flat Pepper Knuckle Pepper more later Mad Pepper CICADA JUMBO DUAL SONIC (buzzbait) Fat Pepper/Fat Pepper Jr. Fat Pepper 150 Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted July 1, 2010 Super User Posted July 1, 2010 You lost me when you said twenty per bait but good luck with your new baits. Quote
Primus Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Looks like some cool baits I'll have to try a few. If I may ask Incheon and T-rig which bait out of their line-up do you think is the best and what do you like about it ? Thanks Quote

Super User fishfordollars Posted July 1, 2010 Super User Posted July 1, 2010 At over $20.00 a pop the only place I would throw them is up on the wall. Quote
FishinTN Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 I know this applies to bait and tackle, but what does JDM stand for? Quote
Incheon Basser Posted July 1, 2010 Author Posted July 1, 2010 I know this applies to bait and tackle, but what does JDM stand for? Japanese Domestic Market....It's used to describe Rods, Reels and Baits that are not available regularly in the USDM Quote
Super User Raul Posted July 1, 2010 Super User Posted July 1, 2010 Tiemco not only has baits, has some of the most expensive Fenwick rods in the market( TGB, Super Techna ), GYCB also manufactures baits for Tiemco that are exclisive to them ( GYCB Silk Worm ), sunglasses ( Sightmaster ), Jun Shodi was their top Japanese Pro Staffer a couple of years ago. I hear ya... I almost choked on my ramen noodles at work when I saw the JDM fenwick rods for over 1000 bucks on the Purefishing Korea site Not me friend..... not me Quote
scbassin Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 a lot of the cost is caused by the value of the dollar vs yen. How do you like the change now. Quote
