Hey guys,

Just wanted to give a quick praise to the Shimano Rod Warranty Team. My Cumara's tip snapped and I sent it to their facility. With USPS tracking I saw it was delivered on  6/21/13. I called them today to check on the status and since I have never used their CS before was curious on their turn around. Low and behold they sent out my brand new replacement rod earlier today (6/24/13). It's refreshing to see that kind of CS and feel they deserved a quick shout out. I did not send them any proof of purchase along with the rod either.

Good to hear. Haven't had to use their warranty yet, hoping I never have to. I like my cork-handled Compres a lot!

Why did u mail it in? When I bought my rods the warranty was over the counter at any stocking store.

Mainly time constraints. Work too much during the week to make it to bps. That and they dont always have a replacement in stock.

Agreed. Lots of guys by a rod based off recommendations here and other places and drive to the nearest dealer. For some guys it's over an hour away. My pickup gets 12 MPG, so I can understand the shipping it part! Glad to see they came through. Makes me feel better if I ever have to use it.
