I was reading another thread and the topic of UFOs and strange lights was brought up. Just wondering if anyone has any good stories. The only time I ever witnessed something strange was about 11 years ago. I went outside around 1 am to have a cigarette on the porch. I was just checking out the stars and then I saw a strange light fly into my view. Then it would jump long distances in no time at all. It was moving with extreme speed and agility that if there was a human inside, they would have been crushed by the G force.

I was driving a tractor trailer out of high school on a deserted stretch of highway in Texas about 2 am one summer. I had something buzz me over head that looked like it was moving at Mach 2 plus. Never heard any engines roar or lights. Didn't even see exhaust ports etc. Never could explain it, but it d**n sure woke me up!

When I was still in college. I was parthing hardy one evening at my buddy's house. There was just 6 of us there and we had some free time and some sweet tarts. After a bit I started seeing lights whizzing by my head and strange colors everywhere yet at the same time nowhere. I looked over at two of my friends and they turned grey, with big black oblong eyes, and pointed teeth. Chris at least the creature who been Chris had fire for hair! Dude I ain't gonna lie. I bolted like a scared little girl. Took off into the woods by the house. I ran for years and thousands of miles. I hid behind a fallen tree with a roaring waterfall coming down its decaying branches. Mean while the alien creatures crashed through the forest hunting me down. Some how they knew my name and were calling me. Yet I stayed put, lest the try an take me away in their space ship that was making all the cool colors soar through the air. I heard my girl friend Kimmy calling my name after months behind my tree. I braved a peek from around my hide out and My girlfriend hovered over to me with deathly black wings extending from her back. After explaining what was going on to her, she ran out and scared off the aliens.

I awoke the next morning hugging my girl behind some rotten decayed tree. We got up and walked the 20 yards back to the house. To this day I don't know what happened to the aliens that were posing as my friends. Or where they were holding them during the charade.

All I've seen is lights a couple times.  The most unusual time was about a couple months ago.  I was delivering a pizza and driving down a back road when something caught my eye.  There was a bright orangey yellowish light in the sky.  It was moving fast.  Faster than any plane or helicopter I'd ever seen.  At first I thought maybe a comet or meteor cuz it was sort of leaving a bit of a streak behind it but as I watched it it started to change directions rapidly zig-zagging around the sky.  I pulled off the road to watch it for a bit but after 5 or 10 minutes I had to move on cuz I was working and had a pizza in my car getting cold. When I came back through the same area it was gone. Was it a UFO?  I think it's a good possibility.  To my knowledge, meteors/comets don't move like that and I would be very very surprised if it were just a plane or something like that.

Back when I smoked (camels) I was standing outside on my deck at around 12 am, when i see this led very small light up near my 2nd garage. I watched it for a few seconds before i ran into my house to grab a shotgun. I went back to find it moving great distances in really short times. It was pitch black but it appeared over me head then went out. It appeared over 20 yards away in just a few seconds. I was shaken up, what was this thing? Was i being watched by another world? The whole day i wondered what the hell i had just seen. The next night i saw them again, but this time there were a lot more, and then i realized they were lightning bugs..... and i felt like an idiot

I fish primarily between 1am and sunrise.  So far, 2 events just like the OP's.  Lights with unexplainable abilities.  Second time I was alone and in the kayak and for some reason I felt much more vulnerable (than 2 guys in a jon boat, go figure,lol)

One night I was on a flight from Hong Kong to Chicago somewhere out over the North Pacific Ocean at about 40,000 feet, I was stretching my legs in a galley area and looking out a doorway window at a storm we had just avoided.  A thunder storm is a sight to behold from above.  While watching the storm I saw a bright metallic blue light shoot straight up from the thunderhead into the black of space; Startled, I told the attendant of what I saw and she chuckled and asked if I saw a UFO.  So now I have my nose hard pressed to the window for the longest time, then off in a distant part of the storm I see another streak, but it’s smaller and not as bright.  I again turn to tell the attendant, and a second attendant in the galley said “that natural, we see them all the time”; I said what! What are they??  She smiled at me and turned to take refreshments to some passengers.  Neither attendant would explain what I saw; they just gave me a silly grin as to say I’ll never tell.

What you witnessed Traveler is commonly called blue lightning. Its lightning that goes up instead of down, Google it you'll find all kinds if info on it. Blue lightning is extremely powerful. What I found interesting is that during a thunderstorm is that most lightning is never seen from the ground, most remain in the clouds, some shoot upward into space, only something like 25% of lightning produced can be seen hurtling down toward the ground.

What you witnessed Traveler is commonly called blue lightning. Its lightning that goes up instead of down, Google it you'll find all kinds if info on it. Blue lightning is extremely powerful. I saw something on TV about them, but the sound was off and by the time I found the remote the show was on to the next subject, boy was I pisssssed I missed that.  I'll look on line as you suggest.

 

What I saw looked like a quick on & off light beam going straight up.

Sorry, I should have put that I think what u witnessed was Blue Lightning. It's a very cool phenomena, and can take the form of a ball, a beam or a bolt of light.

I've seen that thing on the wing before also. I wasnt even on a plane.
