Hey guys. This weekend I'm going to bass fish at night for the first time in a local pond during this supermoon. Any tips with night fishing and what to throw. Thanks.

- Black Jitterbug

- Black Hula Popper

- Black spinnerbait with single colorado blade

- Senkos (Junebug or watermelon)

I'd go with big, noisy topwater baits (Jitterbug, buzz baits, etc.) a big, black spinnerbait with a soup spoon-sized copper Colorado blade and 10" (or larger) plastic worms, black or junebug.

I throw a spinnerbait and a black worm or tube at night. Be ready to get slammed. Either tonight or tommorow is the full moon and the bass are gonna be on fire. I'm going out tonight. :D

Any top water, as long as it's BIG....the musky sized, black Jitterbug would be a great starting point. Good Luck! :)

I'm heading to the local pond tonight as well. I'll be throwing a black cavitron until the mosquitoes carry me away.

Very interesting to hear many folks like a big, bright full moon for night fishing?? I do much better on the darker/new moon phases and they actually seem to shut off at the dusk to night transition on a full moon for me throughout the years.

i'll still be out there, will try everything, but will start with a big, slow crawling  t-rigged worm on the grass beds/mat edges first..good luck to all.

I typically throw any plastic I would use in the day, but in a darker color. I did really well a few weeks ago with a June Bug Rage Lobster

I hate fishing during a bright, full moon, just never have done very well, but you can't catch them if you're not out there right? When the moon is bright I like to fish lighter colors instead of my usual darker colors I fish at night. Light blue colored plastics or jigs seem to produce best during a full moon.

I've always gotten skunked on full moons. We decided to just stay home... even though the idea got tossed around - "maybe the HUGE moon will cut the bass on hard!??! Comeon... let's at least try!"

How did you guys make out?

Skunked Friday night. It was the only time I got to go.

I know the feeling. Went out all day during last full moon... we caught maybe 10 between 5:00&8:00. After that we didn't get ANY bites even. Fished a few underwater lights PACKED with shad, barfish, and bream, but we couldn't pull bites. On way back in at midnight, we stopped at the underwater light by the launch and I'll tell you... there were 5 different 6+ lbs on that light and I'll be d**n - we couldn't get a bite from any of em'. Tried worms, flukes, cranks, jigs, spinners, chatters and they wouldn't touch em'. It hurts....
