hey... i have 2 tacklebags with (5) 3700 trays in them, and other (4) 3700 trays i put in one of the livewells, since we normally dont fill them (fun fishing, C&R)... the trays have cranks, spinerbaits, and mostly, worms and lizzards and such...

at the beginning of the day, i rig a couple rods with cranks, one with a spinnerbait and one with a worm... then, i take  couple bags of worms i plan on using, and secure them to my chair with one of these i screwed to the chair:

however, when i brake off, or want to change weight, hook, crankbait, or spinnerbait, i need to go to the tackle bags, search in one tray for the weights, in another one for the hooks, and on the other 7 or 8 for the plastics.... in case of the spinnerbaits its easier as i have only 1 tray for them and 3 or 4 for cranks... but for changing plastics, it really takes some time...

so what i was thinking is, to securely and permanently install someting to the chair, a smaller tray, or some where i could put a couple types of hooks, several sinkers of different weights, maybe some shakey heads, and then put another "worm holder"... this way i could prepare the smaller tray with what i think i will be using that day, and grab 4 or 5 worm packs and fix them to my chair... that way i would have a lot of things at hand if i need it, and the rest of the equipment would be in the tacklebags in case i want to change the original plan... i also fish a smaller lake from shore, so another smaller tray with the same would be easier to transport than 1 tray full of hooks, 1 full of sinkers, and several for worms... i could only grab the small tray, some packs of worms, and be ready...

what do you suggest??

Cabela's Safarie Vest is currently on sale for $39. There is a pocket in the back to hold a 3600

Plano box. This will hold everything you mentioned and your hands are free!

thanx, i have several of the big 3700 with everything i use... but im looking for a way of permanently or semi permanently installing one of the smaller ones like this one:

i guess i could just put it in the deck, but i know i will forget more sooner than later that i have it in the deck (i fish from the back of the boat), and i dont want it falling overboard.. it has happened to me before with several packs of worms that i left in the deck, thats why i installed that thing to hold them in place... not i can run at full speed and they will stay there...

i just looked at the vest and it gave me an idea... maybe i could add a small bag to the back of the seats (we upholstered them ourselves), to carry the small plano box and even some pliers, knife and such.... on my jeep i have seat covers with bags on the rear, and they are very useful for keeping things organized, nearby but out of the way... ill see how this turns out... something like this, but much smaller and suited for the plano box:
