I fish alot, but the only thing that I realy catch fish on is the senko. I start out using something else. But when that fails (which it usualy does), I turn to the senko. The only other lures that work for me are spinnerbaits. It is realy starting to make me mad!

I'm with you on the senko.  I just started catching fish on them this year, biggest being a 5.5 lb'er.  I'm still catching fish on other baits though.  Topwater frogs have done well for me so far.  As have crankbaits.  But the senko is my top producer.

It just boosts your confidence so high that its all you want to fish. I have the same problem, I will be fishing one thing but after 20-30 casts I switch to a senko because I know it will catch a fish. So the other baits are not getting nearly enough attention. So what I do is I will go out and not bring any senkos and just fish, that way there is no temptation to use it and it forces me to use other things and learn something new.

That sounds so easy, but it's so tempting to bring along when you know it works.  This year I would say 9 out of 10 of my fish are on senkos.  I really want to have another one or two go to baits, but the senkos are just so hard to give up!

#1, I like to catch fish

Senko's work well here in southern New England, so I use Senko's a lot.

Fishing with Senko's = fish in the boat

Therefore, I like Senko's   :)

Its between the Senko and Powerworm for me....

95% of my fish were caught on senkos this year, when i fsih tournements i fish senkos a lot because they work but when im fishing for fun i use a lot of other baits with limited success, there will be days were i wont even bring my senkos so i can use other baits

This year wacky rigged Zoom Trick Worms are out producing Senkos for me. I have even lost some of that old confidence in the Senko, if you can believe that!  It all comes down to what bait you have the most confidence in, because that is what you will have tied on the longest and work the best. IMHO

It can be a powerful addiction

Phase 1: All you think about is senkos. ;D

Phase 2: You want to brush your teeth with a senkos and spend all the time you can with them.  :)

Phase 3: You want to make love to the senko. :-*

Phase 4: You want the senko to make love to you. ;)

The first step is admitting you have a problem.

I've found that the Yum Dingers work just as well, and cost less.  (8/$3 at WalMart)

I saw them and wondered if they'd work as well, I definitely noticed the difference in price. I'll have to try 'em out.

Senkos work pretty well drop-shotting around submerged tree stumps in the Missouri River when the water level is down.

Senko's are definitely a confidence bait that I use all the time. Only problem is that they don't last once you get bit. For me, the Slurpies hold up better than most and you can usually catch multiple fish. The expensive brands work great but are only good for 1 bass, 2 if your lucky.

You got to love em!! Though I'm trying into other stick worms like X-factor (watermelon red/ghost and shell cracker) and the Gander Mountain (green pumpkin core and black/ blue lamnt)

For me fishing a senko is painful. I would rather watch paint dry. But sometimes I have no choice but to tie one on.

I absolutely wore 'em out this spring on senko-type lures fished wacky style.  Normally, I carry one Texas rigged and weightless.  When I come across a very low hanging tree branch or somewhere that I can't get to any other way, I pick up that rig and skip it in there.  Every strike I've had in doing that had been a solid THUMP, unlike the wacky rigs where I've hardly felt them at all.

Not as soft as Senkos, but BigBiteBaits at Academy are 8 for $2.09.

Plenty of salt and weight.

Went fishing yesterday, I have little doubt that I would have caught 50+ on senko if I would have used it. I NEVER even put ONE on. Instead I practiced jig, worked a t-rig tube, tried varies top water, cranks, rattle trap, etc. I know I can catch em on senko, time to try to hone my skills with other lures. :)

I started out using a 1/8oz carolina rig with a senko the amber red flake ones from shore with awesome success.  But its been one fish per worm(average).  Then i tried the red  flake "stick o worms"  from BPS and had the same results and the worms last longer.

Besides the red color senko style baits i found the Gambler Ace in the bright blue or what i call electric blue seem to work were i'm fishing too.

I did find affordable senko's I bought up the 50pcs per bag.  I also wait till BPS puts the stick o worms on sale too.

I like to test all the baits too so i know what works and how to give me an advantage on strikes and misses.  I use the senko with no scent on the first cast.  If i get a strike and a miss i give the senko a shot of bass scent on the next cast and its a 100% hook up on the second cast.

Weightless senko is my go to bait. Watermelon with black flake for sunny days and darker colors as conditions allow.

Yum dingers work great for me but they aren't very durable.

I am really getting into the jig lately though... so here's how my setup goes normally.

1) Weightless senko

2) Jig or tube jig

3) Carolina Rig or crank

Haven't used cranks nearly as much this year and I've got some nice smallies and bucketmouths.

I have a bag of Zoom trick worms in June Bug I want to try as well.

These things get you hooked fast. I tried them for the first time last night and they worked great! I didn't pull in anything huge, but I was pulling them in often ;)

Fishing them slow is strangely fun. Watching the line twitch slightly right before a hook set kind of reminds me of Jaws  :)
