I've finally had it with substandard Grills. I'm about to buy a new propane one. I've decided on a "Weber". I'm just undecided on which model to purchase. Do any of you have experience with the Webers and reccomendations ?

Thanks

I have a Genesis s-310 that has done me good for the last 3 years!  I really like it.  My suggestion is , if you have any gas hookups at your house, have a line run to your grill and the conversion done!  Never buy another tank......it is awesome!

no idea about weber. but we got a Ducane gas grill from home depot. Its been great. only thing weve done in over 5 years or so is change the regulator and put in replacement burners. It was a $1000 grill, my uncle had noticed two of them sitting to the side of the other grills for a few months. one day him and my moms husband went in and asked for a manager about them. one was missing a knob and the both had a couple dents in the front doors on it. the manager sold the grills for $150 a piece, it was a steal really, since we pounded out the dents in the doors and didnt really need a knob for the rotisserie burner as we didnt buy the motor and accompanying parts for the rotisserie

I have had a Charbroil for a couple years.  I liked it and just bought a new Char Broil Infered one.  Its still in the box. LOL

I cant help on the weber gas but if they are anything like their charcoal it will be one sweet grill.

I have a Weber gas grill and love it. Gets to tempature fast and holds its tempature and the components used in the grill are just superior to other grills.

No experience with Weber Stitch but I've had a Stainless steel Ducane for coming up on 10 years.

Very dependable, Quality material and workmanship.

Unit sits outside covered all year (and all winter)  Uncover it and it fires right up.

Good Luck.

You took the words right out of my mouth! I two charcoal models - the stand alone and the table top for when it's just the missus & I. Can't go wrong with a Weber.

I have had the Weber genesis now for more than 7yrs and still going strong. Great grill. Sturdy and heats up nicely. It can reach temps of +500 degrees.

Ducane I believe was bought out by Weber a few years back. Weber Charcoal grills are great, I have 2 and 2 of their WSMs. You can't go wrong with Weber, their customer service is second to none in the industry.

Only thing I can suggest is to make sure the screws and bolts are stainless steel and will not rust.

thats what i have, is the stainless steel model, but the 5 burner model. have to light it with a lighter right now, as it doesnt self light anymore, but you can order the parts and replace them, which im going to do soon. its been an excellent grill overall and i would recommend them to anyone. after years of dealing with cheap grills like charbroils and what not, with their poor heat control, the ducane has been a god send...

you know, after initially posting in this thread i went and looked up parts for my ducane and seen a picture of a weber/ducane grill and it made me wonder. didnt know weber bought them out though. if they did, they still make grills under both names though...

I've been using Weber for many, many, years.  I started with their charcoal kettle type grill way back when and went to their low cost gas model as an intro to gas cooking.  I got my second Weber gas Skyline model in 1998 when we moved here and it's still going strong, we use it all year long rain or shine.  I've replaced the burners and grates as needed; it's easy to do and you can get Weber parts at any Lows or other hardware stores.  I've been looking at a Weber all Stainless-steel model at Lows lately, I like the styling and the burner layout.

Have had gas...but like charcoal the best with a chimney for starting coals. Will probably never go back.

Weber....hands down.
