CarolinaBoy4Life Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Was strolling the site and seen where Siebert Outdoor's had a deal going with six jig's designed by moderator's for a pretty good price. Was just wondering if that's still going on? From the info I've seen on here I'd certainly like to have a stock of them! Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 It sure is. Every jig sold out of the Storm series I donate a portion to Tackle the Storm Foundation. There is 7 jigs in this series designed by the mods. Here is the link. http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/index.php/storm-series Quote
CarolinaBoy4Life Posted June 18, 2013 Author Posted June 18, 2013 New to jig fishing but what style jig would you recommend for North Carolina water's? Mainly fish pond's with some cover and structure but rarely get to get out on a Lake. Any advice would be helpful when I go to place an order. Thank you! Quote
gripnrip Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Mike's grass jig will double as a swim jig. Also grab the brush style jig. That should cover your pond work. I am extremely impressed with his quality. The hand tied skirt with a custom painted head is hard to beat. Starting at $2.50 a pop for a custom jig????? And not to mention, order $50 or more and free shipping. I put in an order of 40 plus jigs and he had them to me in about 4 days. I am pretty close to his location though. Quote
bassh8er Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 I'll second the brush jig and have been impressed with the quality. I bought several different types during a sale he had last year, but have yet to find a reason to throw anything but the copperhead jig head with a Halloween skirt; it's killer with a Yum Crawbug as a trailer. (Crawdad color) Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted June 19, 2013 BassResource.com Administrator Posted June 19, 2013 I have to tell you guys, we designed these jigs because it's our favorite styles/colors...and we USE them! Seriously, I can tell you mine are designed to my specs because it's just killer in my area. I have many different sizes and colors...that I PAID for btw...because they work! And I know the mods did the same thing. These aren't just jigs with our names stamped on them, they're made exactly to our specs. And the cool thing? A portion of each sale goes to Tackle The Storm! 1 Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted June 19, 2013 Super User Posted June 19, 2013 I am picky about my jigs and quality there of. Mike makes a great product that I would put up with anyones. When you figure in price per jig, shipping over $50 being free, a good selection of colors, and an unsurpassed turnaround time it is hard to go wrong. Plus he offers traileres available as well so you can custom match the jigs to the trailers without having to put in a separate order else where. My personal favorites are the blind date style and brush style heads. They are the most versatile for me. Bamabug, Okeechobee craw, bluegill, and green pumpkin black flake are good bets plus either junebug or black and blue when the water clarity tanks. Not to mention the mod pack is a great mix of colors and styles should you go that route! I will likely be putting in another order later in the summer. On a side note his spinnerbaits and chatterbaits are equally impressive. Keep up the good work Mike! Quote
CarolinaBoy4Life Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 Thank's for the info guy's! I'm thinking about getting the Mod Package and then ordering some single jig's to match up with some color's I love to use. I love that the colors seem to match up with the Rage Tail craw color's! Cant go wrong there! 1 Quote
