I want to wish all you dads a happy fathers day. I was blessed with being able to go fishing with my dad and son today as we have every Fathers Day I can remember. Fishing was good today although bass were not the target species since my dad can't stand and cast all day. We probably caught 75 fish today. Mostly small to medium gills, but a couple at 9". Also got about a dozen bass, some perch, and a hammer handle musky @ about 20"

This is my FIRST FATHERS DAY, what a start to the day

I woke up this morning around 5:45 and went out fishing. On my third cast I landed a 22" 5 pounder on a 6" senko t-rigged the fish faught like a beast! Then the very next cast caught a 2.8 pounder and then a few smaller ones I was out for about 3 hours.

That's a nice, fat redear in the first picture. You eat them? I've used them for cutbait for catfish before and maybe it's just their diet in our lakes but they smell terrible when you cut them open! Always wondered if they were any good to eat smelling like that.

I eat them out of this lake. Water is gin clear with visibility over 10ft. No smell whatsoever. Diet as far as I can tell is mostly tiny freshwater clams, at least that's what's always in the livewell. A lot of guys will throw panfish on ice immediately after catching them to prevent a funky taste. I've never had an issue.
