Just spray it, it won't hurt your reel.

Yes, go ahead and spray it. It leaves zero residue and zero evidence other than the line being awesome to work with.

Great stuff, I just spray it on before I head out fishing for the day and I always use it on my line when spooling new line on  a reel.

Go for it. Even before I read about it here, I watched the you tube video of VanDam applying it and he just went to town spraying it even getting over spray on the reel, handle etc. I'd say its ok if he's doing it. I apply it the same way and have t seen any problems yet. The stuffs pretty harmless. I won't go into details, but I have inadvertently sprayed it in my eyes and it didn't burn lol

The easiest way is to spray directly on the spooled line and let it soak. Some use a towel while applying the line which would be more even.

Either way, the product works well and increases manageability and casting fluidity. I use it on all kinds of line and found it particularly useful on fluorocarbon.

I found the best way to put it on the line when spooling is to use an old nylon sock instead of a cotton rag, sock etc.

It doesn't get absorbed into it and you'll use less.

Thanks guys. When I lined my reel a couple weeks ago, I had soaked a paper towel and ran the line through it, but I needed some extra now.

One time isn't enough anyway. You should do it the night prior as well as right before you get on the water.

1 - shake it well

2 - apply liberally

3 - let it sit if possible. I spray on the night before I fish.

They do sell it by the gallon. I get a few buddies together and we buy one. For the price of one small bottle you can have several times that on a gallon buy.

TW does sell it by the gallon. Is there a generic equivalent? It's worked very well since I recently started using it.
