JunkYard814 Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Can I spray this directly on my spinning reel or is there some special way to apply it. Quote
hooah212002 Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Yes, go ahead and spray it. It leaves zero residue and zero evidence other than the line being awesome to work with. 1 Quote
MrSwimJig Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Great stuff, I just spray it on before I head out fishing for the day and I always use it on my line when spooling new line on a reel. Quote
Super User rockchalk06 Posted June 16, 2013 Super User Posted June 16, 2013 Can I spray this directly on my spinning reel or is there some special way to apply it.Go for it. Even before I read about it here, I watched the you tube video of VanDam applying it and he just went to town spraying it even getting over spray on the reel, handle etc. I'd say its ok if he's doing it. I apply it the same way and have t seen any problems yet. The stuffs pretty harmless. I won't go into details, but I have inadvertently sprayed it in my eyes and it didn't burn lol Quote
skeletor6 Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 The easiest way is to spray directly on the spooled line and let it soak. Some use a towel while applying the line which would be more even. Either way, the product works well and increases manageability and casting fluidity. I use it on all kinds of line and found it particularly useful on fluorocarbon. Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted June 16, 2013 Global Moderator Posted June 16, 2013 I found the best way to put it on the line when spooling is to use an old nylon sock instead of a cotton rag, sock etc. It doesn't get absorbed into it and you'll use less. Good Stuff Mike Quote
JunkYard814 Posted June 16, 2013 Author Posted June 16, 2013 Thanks guys. When I lined my reel a couple weeks ago, I had soaked a paper towel and ran the line through it, but I needed some extra now. Quote

One time isn't enough anyway. You should do it the night prior as well as right before you get on the water. 1 Quote
TNBassin' Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Love this stuff. I'd buy it by the gallon if they offered it. Quote
Super User tomustang Posted June 16, 2013 Super User Posted June 16, 2013 Love this stuff. I'd buy it by the gallon if they offered it. Or a generic equivalent 1//4 of the cost. Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted June 16, 2013 Super User Posted June 16, 2013 Already been covered by the above post 1 - shake it well 2 - apply liberally 3 - let it sit if possible. I spray on the night before I fish. Awesome product! Quote
M-D Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Love this stuff. I'd buy it by the gallon if they offered it. They do sell it by the gallon. I get a few buddies together and we buy one. For the price of one small bottle you can have several times that on a gallon buy. Quote
Tiller Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Or a generic equivalent 1//4 of the cost. TW does sell it by the gallon. Is there a generic equivalent? It's worked very well since I recently started using it. Quote
