Looking back at some of my older posts, I discovered something. I'm a "grumpy old man". So right up front, my apologies to anyone I have offended with my "grumpyness". Is that a word? And my appreciation to all on this forum for putting up with me. I'll try to put that part of me on a leash.

That taken care of, I had a great day fishing today.

2 bass 5# each

1 bass 3#. Seven bass total, but those were my biggest. I can assure you, I won't be grumpy for a few days at least.

Thanks guys, for your patience with a "Grumpy old Man".

I get called a lot worse than a grump on a daily basis. Of course that's at my work where a lot of the people I encounter don't deserve my normal bright, cheerful attitude.

I believe after a certain amount of time on this earth dealing with some of the individuals out there you earn the right to be a grump at times. Grump on!

Hootie, us old timers have earned the right to be grumpy.

I am more grumpy now than ever.

I love it!

All those years being sweet so not to upset anyone are gone. I will say it like it is, PC or not, and if you don't like it, lump it.

I find myself cussing more and being more critical of others. Especially dumb store clerks who are being paid by the hour and could care less if they help you or not.

And this happened at my local Bass Pro Shop when this young female clerk asked me if she could help me find anything and when I told her what I was looking for she started to walk to the electronics department. So I told her I would find it on my own and went into the bait section of the store. I just walked away leaving her headed to see" Larry" in electronics.

So be grumpy and enjoy it.

The other guys on the site will be doing the same as they earn the right to do so via age.

Isn't if fun to be grumpy?

So, I guess it affects all of us eventually. Sometimes it actually works in my favor. I get grumpy at home and when my wife finally gets fed up, she says, "Will you just get out of here and go fishing?".... I win....lol

"Grumpy Old Men".... hey! That would be a cool title for a movie!

My old man and uncles have "Grumpy Old Men Club" each Sunday. No wives. They all bring food and drinks and usually watch sports. I'll see if they're recruiting for any of you guys. :-)

I make a motion to have some warning points removed from hootiebenji. If that isn't repentance, I don't know what is! :)

Let me say ... I really respect you "grumpy old man" because it takes a REAL man to stand in front of a ton of people, talk about your problems, then apologize for it! Hats off to you my friend :)

Keep those post coming Hootie because they usually make me laugh. I enjoy your sense of humor, however some people interpret things the wrong way.

If someone thought of me as "grumpy" I would take it as a compliment, it's far more nicer than the usual "a-hole", "d-head", or " d- bag" I usually get.
