Super User MCS Posted June 10, 2013 Super User Posted June 10, 2013 LMAO! Good luck with that! wonder what they have planned for him. He could be the next gronk lol I will let u know how the Jax contingent feels Seriously IMO if Timmy got a clue he could be a nice Heap/Shockey/that Casey guy in Hou type FB/TE type receiver/runner. If that's what the pats plan and he is open to you might have struck gold. Quote

Where did u see it I have yet to get a report from anywhere? Tom and Tim has a nice ring to it. Perhaps it's time to give Brady some rest, and coach up Tebow, get him some throws, and rip someone off, like they did with Casell. Mike, you said you were gonna see how the Jax contingent feels, thats why I made that wisea** comment. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted June 10, 2013 Author Super User Posted June 10, 2013 You guys have yourself one expensive field goal holder lol If I was gonna take a guess, I would say he's playing for close to the minimum, and Bellichick will have him playing everywhere, QB,FB,TE, on special teams. Say what you want about Tebow, he is a superior athlete, perhaps not the best QB, but he's a competitor. Quote

It is true there are more coaches per capita than anywhere else, just ask mularky and gene smith lol Well apparently the news here in jacksonville is less privy to NFL news, we must lack a leak in Hong Kong like you all have. I have yet to see the news break Quote

His exit from Denver he wasn't having any utility talk. Maybe ol Bill can persuade him otherwise. When I wrote my statement about him being a good FB/TE I saw Gronk is gonna miss so regular season time. That is why I was surprised by the QB thing Quote

That is why I was surprised by the QB thing the pats still have hernandez and ballard at TE, dont forget about ballard, a great TE with the giants, then missed a year with injury and the pats claimed him when they Giants tried to release him quietly to resign him. Yeah he was a decent TE with the gAINTs. Was he with the raiders? Or is that a different giants TE? Sorry what do I know about the pats, except the lost Jan. 20 2013 lol Quote
Super User MCS Posted June 10, 2013 Super User Posted June 10, 2013 So finally broke here. No comments yet everyone is still in shock the Jags didnt give in to their demands and sign him. McDaniels is OC, interesting didnt know that, I sense a little man crush there. Quote
derekxec Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 oh man are you kidding...he just went from a good gator to the bottom of the barrel lol...wonder if bill will send tim to cheat for him too Quote
Super User Marty Posted June 10, 2013 Super User Posted June 10, 2013 Patriots sign Tebow. Your thoughts. There won't be a press conference with him saying 75 times how excited he is to be there. 1 Quote

MrSwimJig Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Should be very interesting. I am sure Belichick has something in mind for Tebow. 1 Quote
derekxec Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 hahaha titans all the way! just wish they would let the coach actually do the job instead of butting in on everything lol Quote
Super User Darren. Posted June 11, 2013 Super User Posted June 11, 2013 I think this is a great move for Tebow. Bill won't let him steal the limelight, Brady is safe, Tebow can learn and maybe even improve his throwing motion. The Tebow-Jets joke is over, and a guy gets to live on doing what he loves. No problems. As a Bills fan, I'm excited where the "new" franchise is headed and I hope we pound the Pats into no less than second place in the AFC East!! 1 Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted June 11, 2013 Super User Posted June 11, 2013 I'm glad someone took him. I think Bill will prove everyone else wrong with this move. He tends to have a knack for doing that. I'm excited to see how this plays out. Plus he didn't get put on by a team in the AFC West! So we ain't gotta deal with him. Go Raiders! 1 Quote
HeavyDluxe Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 If there's one thing the Pats/Belichick have had a knack for it is picking up discarded talent that's been forced to get rid of ego and then cashing in on it. Tebow will get in line with the Pat's mindset... He'll play several roles on the field, including a down-the-line-backup for Brady. And he'll do pretty well, too, I would think. Say what you want about the guy, he's a solid athlete. 1 Quote

Say what you want about the guy, he's a solid athlete. He is a solid athlete, heck he is a phenomenal athlete. The problem is that he is a very poor NFL QB. He can't read a defense and has a pretty terrible throw. He may develop into a decent backup, but I would be highly surprised if he ever made the starting role at QB again. The Pats took a gamble, and if they can utilize his athleticism in an area other than QB then they may do well on this deal. If they continue down the road that other teams have done, placing him at QB, they will end up with an expensive bench warmer. Quote
Super User tomustang Posted June 11, 2013 Super User Posted June 11, 2013 Wait, did they sign him as a running back? Quote
