LMAO! Good luck with that! wonder what they have planned for him. He could be the next gronk lol I will let u know how the Jax contingent feels

Seriously IMO if Timmy got a clue he could be a nice Heap/Shockey/that Casey guy in Hou type FB/TE type receiver/runner. If that's what the pats plan and he is open to you might have struck gold.

They already said QB, but please let me know what the Jax contingent says, it's such a hotbed of winning down there.  :MSN-Emoticon-show-ass-107:

Tom and Tim has a nice ring to it. Perhaps it's time to give Brady some rest, and coach up Tebow, get him some throws, and rip someone off, like they did with Casell. Mike, you said you were gonna see how the Jax contingent feels, thats why I made that wisea** comment.

If I was gonna take a guess, I would say he's playing for close to the minimum, and Bellichick will have him playing everywhere, QB,FB,TE, on special teams. Say what you want about Tebow, he is a superior athlete, perhaps not the best QB, but he's a competitor.

It is true there are more coaches per capita than anywhere else, just ask mularky and gene smith lol

Well apparently the news here in jacksonville is less privy to NFL news, we must lack a leak in Hong Kong like you all have. I have yet to see the news break

I agree, great athlete I just think he has to get over being a QB. His exit from Denver he wasn't having any utility talk. Maybe ol Bill can persuade him otherwise.

When I wrote my statement about him being a good FB/TE I saw Gronk is gonna miss so regular season time. That is why I was surprised by the QB thing

the pats still have hernandez and ballard at TE, dont forget about ballard, a great TE with the giants, then missed a year with injury and the pats claimed him when they Giants tried to release him quietly to resign him.

Yeah he was a decent TE with the gAINTs. Was he with the raiders? Or is that a different giants TE?

Sorry what do I know about the pats, except the lost Jan. 20 2013 lol

Patriots sign Tebow. Your thoughts.

There won't be a press conference with him saying 75 times how excited he is to be there. :laugh5:

I think this is a great move for Tebow. Bill won't let him steal the limelight, Brady is safe, Tebow can learn and maybe even improve his throwing motion.

The Tebow-Jets joke is over, and a guy gets to live on doing what he loves. No problems.

As a Bills fan, I'm excited where the "new" franchise is headed and I hope we pound the Pats into no less than second place in the AFC East!! :respect-059:

I'm glad someone took him. I think Bill will prove everyone else wrong with this move. He tends to have a knack for doing that. I'm excited to see how this plays out.

Plus he didn't get put on by a team in the AFC West! So we ain't gotta deal with him.

Go Raiders!

If there's one thing the Pats/Belichick have had a knack for it is picking up discarded talent that's been forced to get rid of ego and then cashing in on it.

Tebow will get in line with the Pat's mindset... He'll play several roles on the field, including a down-the-line-backup for Brady.  And he'll do pretty well, too, I would think.  Say what you want about the guy, he's a solid athlete.

He is a solid athlete, heck he is a phenomenal athlete. The problem is that he is a very poor NFL QB. He can't read a defense and has a pretty terrible throw. He may develop into a decent backup, but I would be highly surprised if he ever made the starting role at QB again.

The Pats took a gamble, and if they can utilize his athleticism in an area other than QB then they may do well on this deal. If they continue down the road that other teams have done, placing him at QB, they will end up with an expensive bench warmer.
