I'm about to drop $50 at TW, mostly on Rage Tails. Never tried them before, but I know I need to based on Big O's posts in the outing section. I'll be fishing Thumpers, Smokin' Roosters, Space Monkeys, Shads, and Lobsters a lot in the future.

I'm getting a Mattlures Baby Bass too. REALLY excited for that.

As for the weights, the only 3/8 oz. tungsten bullet weights they have in stock are the Gamblers. I usually get the Tru-Tungstens. Has anyone used the Gamblers? They have the plastic inserts......

Never used the Gamblers but how in the heck can you buy all that for 50 bucks? Is there a big sale?

I'm only getting one or two bags of each

Hey Fat-G. I thought you were sent off to Fork Union or somewhere as I have not seen a post nor did you make it to the crawfish boil even though Adrian asked you about it.

I have fished Rage Tails and here is the scoop:

Space Monkies - Great for bushes on Kerr and as moving baits on rivers.

Rage Craws -Excellent Texas rigged or as a jig trailer. Pincher's move very fast with excellent action.

Rage Shad - Once you figure out how to rig them they are super being pulled through weeds, grass and other cover.  Good on pads on the Chick River.

Anaconda - Anywhere Texas rigged. Fish them on bottom or as a swim bait.

Lizards - Outstanding on Carolina rigs or fished Texas on the bottom like a worm. Good on rivers.

Lobsters - Use as a trailer but I bet they would be good Texas rigged.

I use 4/0 EWG hooks.

Add a sinker if you want them to go a little deeper.

I have the tungsten weights with the plastic inserts. I use the smaller ones for Texas Rigs and the heavier ones for Caroline rigs.

Using them on a C-Rig will let you know what is on the bottom right before you snag and lose them.  ;D   ;D   ;D

They are too expensive to take a chance on losing when fishing heavy cover.

Try the baby bass and let us know how you do. Right now I am throwing the Zoom baby bass fluke with the tails dipped in JJs to formulate the lime color and then dipped in JJs clear to give them their flavor.

What is driving me crazy is that the bream are hitting them all the time.

Hi to your dad for me and do you all still want to go out on the Historic James River out of Watkins Landing and try your luck for small and largemouths?

Let me know.  ;)

Yes sir I do! Sorry about the cookout, baseball was an overload. Everyday.

Haven't been able to get on BR for some time now, glad to be back! Thanks for the advice.
