Super User Catt Posted June 16, 2010 Super User Posted June 16, 2010 In no picticular order: Fliptail, Rage Tail, LFT Top Dog Lizards, Zoom, & Gene Larew Quote
buzzcatcher Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Zoom Lizards too; this weekend, we had a lot of success, with 6" watermelon red chartreuse tail and side rigging.......amazing !Other good lizards are YUM Zellamanders, those creatures work really nice too 1st choice would be Rage Tail and if I use them up I keep some Zooms handy until I can get to the tackle shop to get more RT's. David, by side rigging do you mean where the hook is coming out where the legs are? Buzz Quote
David Rangel Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Yes I mean that the hook comes out from the legs' side this give us more strikes than the usual rig. when the hook coms out form the Back ! Quote
bwillis Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 I prefer Zoom and Berkley lizards, but I picked up some Rage Tail lizards the other day that I haven't had a chance to use yet. Quote
basser223 Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Junebug Zoom lizards, clear and stained water-T-riged X2, Great color, and always catch fish with this one. x3 Quote
buzzcatcher Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Yes I mean that the hook comes out from the legs' side this give us more strikes than the usual rig. when the hook coms out form the Back ! Never thought to try that, but I will now and I,m not tellin' anyone else Quote
David Rangel Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Sure keep that secret!!!, and let me know the results!.... I was really skeptic about the rig, anyway the guide rigged my carolina in that way, I got 6 consecutive fishes, when I replace the lure with the usual rig (stomach - back ) I stop fishing after 3 casts; I back to side rig, I start fishing again three consecutive more fish!! Delaware Valley Tackle Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 I sometimes have luck fishing a lizard through openings in weed beds or swimming with little or no weight. I like Zoom and Rage Tail. Quote
Dave P Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Zoom watermelon seed, T-rigged with a 1/4 bullet weight (either a parasite or free sliding). I've caught about 3/4 of my fish this year on it. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted June 20, 2010 Super User Posted June 20, 2010 Zoom is the lizard king, and for that matter most soft plastics. Have done well on power lizzies too though. Quote
