Well fellas we're about a month out from this thing so I guess we'll go ahead and do a final roll call and start making the list of grub that everyone is planning on bringing. I have the lineup on the front page so check and make sure you're on there if you're planning on attending or let me know to take you off if things have changed and you can't make it. Post up here or PM me with what food/drinks/utensils you're planning on bringing so I can get the list started. The countdown to "The Battle on 'Bunsee" has begun!  :respect-059:

Don't know if we'll need a grill but we'll need charcoal for sure.

Really unfortunate news here, I hope they don't close the lake now  :cry4: I guess if there is any shining light in this maybe they won't do all the boat spraying crap anymore, and we don't have to change the name, it can still be the Razor Clam Classic  :eyebrows:

Sept. 5, 2013

Glen Elder Reservoir (Waconda Lake) and Lake Wabaunsee have the invasive species

TOPEKA – The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism (KDWPT) has confirmed the presence of zebra mussels in Glen Elder Reservoir (Waconda Lake) in Mitchell County and Lake Wabaunsee in Wabaunsee County. Zebra mussels are bean-sized mollusks with striped, sharp-edged, two-part shells. Twenty-one Kansas lakes have now been confirmed to have zebra mussels.

That nazi lady at the marina should have been spraying down the birds flying in and out!

Sure enough, Curt.

Im sure a simple call to the gate should provide some info

Won't be able to make the trip, but for a decent reason. I will be helping with the 2013 Kansas Sports Hall of Fame Induction. Good lucky to everyone, I hope someone catches a 8lb + fish and shares some photos!

Anyone call the bleach lady yet?

No but I will next week. Was planning on fishing it next Thursday with Scrogg but obviously not if they closed the lake. I haven't heard anything about them closing it but since it was semi private as it was it made me wonder.

Enjoy your get-together everyone and kudos to the hosts/organizers, it's a lot of work to coordinate all the details to make an enjoyable day for a large group. Good luck and stay safe.

And a big thanks to you for your generous donation! We'll have some great prizes to give away at this one to anyone attending!
