Megastink Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 I can't find many online. Does anyone have experience with them? #1 question: how do they work compared to regular plastics? Quote
TNBassin' Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 I say gimmick. I have some red eye shad that glow under a black light, so does that make them uv as well? Quote
TNBassin' Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 If it worked the pros would use them. A couple pros use them. Brent Chapman and Byron Velvick come to mind, but I think a few more do as well. Quote
MrSwimJig Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 I use them and they hold up very well and produce very well also. I have met the owners of the company and talked with Brent about them several times at our local sporting goods store. If the UV actually makes a difference I have no clue but I know they do work. Having lots of luck with the new UV Beaver in Blood color. Quote
HomersTomaco Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 If it worked the pros would use them. ... Is that a yes because some of the best pros in the world use them? Quote
ripinthem Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 I like the UV beaver baits, but I've noticed I catch bigger fish with other Companies beaver baits. They work, but have dropped in my use, as I just catch better fish with other products. It may be that the juvenile bass see em better, but just something that I've noticed in my area... Quote
Super User Grizzn N Bassin Posted June 9, 2013 Super User Posted June 9, 2013 Havnt tried them.... want thought what ever gives you confidence! Quote
Comfortably Numb Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Not sayin they are not good baits or wont catch fish, just that I dont think the UV adds anything. Quote
Tasman Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 I have had real good luck with the uv baits. Not sure how they work but have tested them against regular plastic baits several times and tightlines always catches more fish for me. I was skeptical about the pros using them but there are several FLW pros using them this yr. Justin Lucas and Barry Wilson are having very good luck with them. Richard peek is leading in points as a co-angler. Tacklecenter.com has the cheapest price I have found. Tackle warehouse, mondo tackle, and * also have them. Quote
Super User slonezp Posted June 12, 2013 Super User Posted June 12, 2013 Bought some at a fishing show a few years back. I still have most of them. Quote
