So I went out today for 4 hours of fishing. Let say it was one of the best days I've ever had on the water, 16 SMB and 6 pike, not to mention the weather was a little hazy but the water was so calm it looked like it was made out of glass. That's the good part. Now the fun begins, I was casting with no problems getting a country mile with every cast and all of a sudden SKREEEECH and Grind, I quickly reel in and cast out again no Skreech but when I cast now instead of the zzzzzz sound you get its a mix of zzzz and a wooshing sound, I'm pretty sure I blew a bearing. I keep fishing and all of a sudden I come to a grinding halt I smashed into a huge boulder with my trolling motor and ripped the prop right off... I figure by this point I'm done and go back. I park my boat beside the dock so I can get my trailer. As I pull in I notice my boat is about 25 feet away from land (Ugh, I forgot to tie it off) I swim out and get my boat back to shore. As I'm walking out of the water I slice my foot open on a zebra muscle. I start fuming, cursing and yelling random gibberish (Thank god no one was around lol) I finally come to my senses get the boat on the trailer  strap it up and drive away. As a final kick in the junk I go to have a smoke and realize I didn't take them out of my pocket and they are soaked...

Anyone got similar stories? Lol I need a laugh right about now.

When it rains man. I've had those days when just about everything go wrong but at least you survived to go another day.

We all have those days. It just seems that some of us have more of them than others.

Look on the bright side. You were able to swim after your boat. If that happen to me I will have to call out for a boat because I share the water with tons of gators. Yikes!

Yea man that is rough having to swim after your boat lol. Luckily you weren't in gator waters if that happened in FL, GA, LA you would think twice about swimming after your boat.

I have those days every once in a while.  My friends have coined the term a "Scott day".
