Super User AK-Jax86 Posted June 14, 2013 Super User Posted June 14, 2013 Went out this afternoon around 5:30 til dark. I was pulling them left and right out the Lilly pads using a 7" senko but absolutely nothing of size they were all under 12". I pulled out 15 and missed a bunch. I went through 6 senkos. I am going out again tomorrow morning around 5:30 Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted June 15, 2013 Super User Posted June 15, 2013 Was out this morning over in ponte vedra. I had the worst luck today, i managed to land a nice 18" and a couple smaller ones. Now to the bad luck! I was at the spot where I caught my PB. My girlfriend calls my phone so I am talking to her then all of a sudden tight line I set the hook reel it in, while still on the phone like an idiot. I get the fish to the shore had to be atleast 5lbs I'm holding te phone against my shoulder and ear. I get hook out and then the fish starts squirming I drop it and my phone and the fish flops it's way back into the water! Naturally I blame my girlfriend for calling me lol. Then I went to another spot was there for about a hour all of a sudden tr fish crushed my frog. Looked to be about a 4 maybe bigger fish was fighting and jumped twice out the water and all of a sudden my line gets snagged on something probably a log or something and snaps. That's the 3rd frog that I have lost (2 in trees and one probably hooked in the fish's mouth still) Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted June 16, 2013 Super User Posted June 16, 2013 Went out to ponte vedra this morning around 6:15 and caught a 5 LB 22 incher. My new top 5 is 18, 19, 21, 21, 22. My laptop is messed up and it says files are to big to load from my phone. I will post pics at some point. I am heading back out a little later hopefully I can get some replacement fish. Quote
Super User MCS Posted June 18, 2013 Super User Posted June 18, 2013  Finally got a decent one to post up on a baby brush hog. But tomorrow is my last day fishing for a while so I didn't worry about a pick with the tape, did a quick measure and she was a solid 19". Besides it looks like AK is the only one playing this month, but where are the pics bro? LOL NIce work AK keep it up you got this. 1 Quote

Super User BassinLou Posted June 18, 2013 Super User Posted June 18, 2013 MCS, good luck tomorrow. BTW I think I am in the lead, only until AK produces the proof of his catches!! (LOL, just messing with you AK. I know you are having technical issues.) I have not been able to go out much which is what I expected this month. The heat down here isn't helping either. 1 Quote

When you hit send it give you the choice of sending fullsize, large, med and small. Send them med and then when you open the email hold on the pic and you can save it back to the album at the smaller size then upload. Quote

fstr385 Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Been goin out here and there, but just been getting 15-18" fish. Im at around 90" with 5, but that's not good enough to put anything up. 1 Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted June 19, 2013 Super User Posted June 19, 2013 I caught this 16 incher a couple of hours ago. This one culls out my 15 incher. I know they are not monsters, but if I wait for those I will never get to post and play. We have 12 days left, to make something happen. My total is 81.5 inches. 1 Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted June 19, 2013 Super User Posted June 19, 2013 I know the fish is sandy, but no one said the fish were going to be cooperative to strike a pose. 1 Quote
CountBassula Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 I went to a new spot today in coral springs, it was loaded with bass, but except one, they were all rather small, 12-14 inches. didn't bother to take photos... BUT i have a new swim lure that worked wonders for me today, so i'll try it soon on my honey hole :-) 1 Quote

Lol I know they are worse than trying to take pictures of my kids! Every time i click they flop like as a person blinks in a photo hahaha Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted June 19, 2013 Super User Posted June 19, 2013 Heres another I have to put up.. Nice fish do you have 5? What's your total length? Quote
fstr385 Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Thanks. Yea Ive got 5, but Im only at 95" with them. Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted June 20, 2013 Super User Posted June 20, 2013 Fstr85, LOL, your last pic looks like its a proof of life photo with the paper underneath and the date put on it. Your modesty, is cool."I am only at 95 inches"? At least for me the fishing has been challenging lately. Then again I have only been out 5 times in the month of June. Quote
Diggy Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I been in a slump, I need a Heat game 6 miracle within the next week to be in contention. 1 Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted June 21, 2013 Super User Posted June 21, 2013 I been in a slump, I need a Heat game 6 miracle within the next week to be in contention. Man I am a die hard Heat fan and I was on edge this whole series. Game 6 was the best finals game I have ever seen and game 7 was a classic as well EPIC series Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted June 21, 2013 Super User Posted June 21, 2013 I was awaken last night after midnight, my neighborhood erupted in celebration after we won last night. What your seeing in the news today with pots and pans is no exaggeration. You could here it for miles. Quote
CountBassula Posted June 22, 2013 Author Posted June 22, 2013 Even when I'm trying to catch bass (using swim flukes, brush hogs, and lizards) I still catch snakeheads!!! Agrrr!!! Â Â Quote
CountBassula Posted June 22, 2013 Author Posted June 22, 2013 Well, I did get 5 bass today and 2 snakeheads, didn't bother taking the photos, they were all dings! Well, one was worthy of this thread, but he got off the hook just as I was bringing it on shore, I cried cried cried like a little girl Quote
Diggy Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Im still striking out. I lost one of my northstar jigs to a rock. I then lost 2 fish on a wacky rigged senko, tried some new hooks, might me my fault how I set the hook.  I only fished for an hour under a shady area. This is my longest slup of my career. I may have to take up catfishing or move over to salt for a while. Between having a cold, some of my lakes turning to poo and it being so hot out I may need to find a new past time like making tackle vids on youtube. Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted June 23, 2013 Super User Posted June 23, 2013 Diggy, you are not the only one. I have struck  out for the last three days. I have thrown everything at them. I just came in after fishing a couple hours around canals in my neighborhood and I swear to God I saw tumbleweed. It was a virtual ghost town. The only highlight of the last three days is I caught a pretty nice mayan cichlid on a swim bait. My fishing elbow has flared up a bit but I just can't quit knowing that bragging rights are at stake. But you know what? I think fishing is done for a while until this heat settles, which will not be for months. Quote
