After rolling the points on two Trokars yesterday, I probably will be. What a disappointment in a product.

and an expensive disappointment at that

I have been using the ko hooks for a few months and they are awesome hooks .  I use them for flipping junk in south florida and could not be happier .  Strong sharp and a good price .  Defin a big fan of these.  Gamble makes a good product give them a shot

I bought two packs of the Trokars and was so disappointed.  I rolled the points on the first two I tied on.  I was flipping and the cover was thick but that is what I thought the Trokars were for.

It is funny, I keep trying new hooks but I always go back to the ole Mustad 5/0 straight shank hook.  Over the years, I think I have used enough of these to fill a bucket.

I sharpen the points into a diamond shape, using using an old ignition file and emery boards.  You want to sharpen them but not weaken the point by taking to much metal away.

If you try this, be extra careful.  Sticking your finger down in try full of these will teach you what sharp is.

There was no reason for Chokars to roll a point.  I was pitchen' into holes where pads are next to celary beds and buck brush. It's not like I was fishing rip rap.  I saw a guy at the entrance of a Dick's Sporting Goods yesterday with a cardboard sign, " FORMER BASS ELITE SERIES PRO....WILL WORK FOR TROKARS." His tennis shoes were yellow.
