Arv Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 I was wondering what some good rod and reels are for worm and jig presentations I guess your "typical" worm and jig rod is usually a 7'0(ish) MH/F rod with a high speed reel (6:1-7:1). But without some more details you could almost be recommended anything out there. Some might suggest a G. Loomis NRX and others might suggest a Berkley Lightning Shock. Neither are bad rods, but there is about a 500 dollar difference. Same thing for the reel. Details like price range, cover you fish, weight of lures you plan on using and much more will help in getting more solid recommendations that will be applicable to you. Quote
Diggy Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Whats your price range and typical fishing style (bait, weights) That will help cut down choices Quote
ChiCityBasser Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 My main rod for this technique is a RodTech Fishing custom 7'3" MH/F with a Quantum Accurist 7.0:1 Burner reel. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted June 5, 2013 Super User Posted June 5, 2013 Normally for jigs I use a MH/F 6'6" rod. If I am in really thick cover I change up to a 6'6" H. For t-rigs I like a 6'6" H all of the time. Quote
