I'm not putting this on here because I want anyone to feel sorry for me. I just want everyone to take a minute and think about the loved ones you have in your lives and make sure they know you love them. I found out this morning that my uncle, the man who taught me how to fish, hunt, clean rabbits and squirrels decided to take his own life. I have been thinking all day about what I could have done to help him out. I live less than a mile away from him and I probably didn't go see him as much as I should have. I don't know what demons he was having to deal with, I just wish I could have done something.

I never told Doug how much he meant to me, and I regret it.

Make sure to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you, you never know what difference it could make.

Oh ****. Homie, that is horrible. I'm sorry for your loss man. I'm sending prayers and thoughts your way.

Don't blame yourself. You ain't do anything wrong. Don't fall in that hole of what ifs.

You gotta stay strong. Don't dwell on the feeling of loss and the what if's. He's in a better place now. Focus on the good times y'all had. Remember the positives and lessons he taught you. Don't mourn the dead, mourn the living. For their struggles and pain are over and done. Ours continue. Just keep your head up. Things will get better.

I had the same thing happen to one of my friends. I learned so much about my trade from him. He taught me many things. He had a 2 year spat of bad luck. Every where he went to work the company would shut down or do layoffs within 3 to 6 months. I know he wasnt working for the last 3 months he was with us. His sister found him on a Friday morning. He was only 30. I spent a long time asking why. I never got an answer. Its just cruel that this has to happen to someone you care about. Its honestly devastating.

Again try an stay strong. Cherish the times y'all had, and don't dwell on the bad.

Three years ago today I talked to my bestfriend for the last time, this man was like a brother to me, we did everything together, went everywhere together.  As kids we were inseperable.  Five days later he ended his life, left behind a wife and three kids.   He drove back to where we grew up to end it, he was a few miles from my house, I'll never forget feeling so frustrated.  My question of why and why didn't he call me, he knew I would have done anything gone anywhere to help him.  That's why he didn't call, he didn't want my help.  I'll never understand, but as Raider said it's not your fault.  Don't spend the time playing the blame game, he knew you were there for him, and that's why he didn't call you.  He didn't want help

God bless and I'm sorry for your loss
