I'm searching for a new7 foot rod and want some feedback from other hardcore bass fisherman. I need it to throw senkos, work topwater baits (plugs, spooks, etc) and also work crankbaits and spinnerbaits if desired. I have looked at both Falcon 7 foot rods and the St. Croix Premier Series 7 foot as well. Any opinion is welcome as are suggestions for other rod manufacturers. In addition I would like to spend between 100 and 140 on the rod. Thanks in advance for the input! Tight lines!

St Croix Mojo is a favorite of mine in that price range.  Best part is its on the lower end of your range so you can look at more things to throw with it with the money you save!

That's an excellent point and I have actually looked at that model of rod as well

I own both St Croix's and Carbonlites. The carbonlite, will be at the lower end of your budget. They are light, durable, and they get the job done. If you happen to brake it within the year you bought it, simply return back to BPS no questions asked. You will be surprised how good these rods are. St. Croixs are also great rods. For the budget you mentioned my only experience is the premier model. Good rod. It's a workhorse, however the carbonlite in this case is a lot lighter and as strong.

I just bought the Premier yesterday and love it! You can never go wrong with St. Croix, plus the Premier comes with a 5 year warranty.

I have a mojo and a bucoo rod. The bucoo is a much nicer rod in  my opinion another great rod to look at thats cheap and an excellent value is the powell diesel rods.

I would opt for a moderate fast, maybe some manufactures fast. You can get a Kistler KLX at the top of your price range with a discount. Worth every penny IMO.

The *** is a great rod. Fishes like a $200 rod.

This is one of the reasons I love bass fishing! Such huge support and family of fanatics! Thanks for all of the input everyone!

Powell Endruance and Max are 109 at fish ranger right now. Thats what I would get.

I have bought a number of rods over the past several years from members on our

Flea Market. For around $125 you might be able to pick up a G.Loomis IMX MBR

844C. This is a fine "all around" rod and over time may become a dedicated tool

for jigs and weighted soft plastics. This is a rod you will never out grow.

I almost don't even want to comment because there really are so many good options in that price range. With that being said me personally I'd go with what has the better warranty.

haha I know that's why I started this thread, it's really hard to decide but I'm starting to lean towards either an *** or Croix Premier

You should look at a Shimano Compre they have a lifetime warranty. Most of them are 100 some 110 and a couple are 120.

Honestly I have always enjoyed Shimano spinning reels but have never thought about buying their rods.
