bassheel Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 If you could tell any bait company to make your bait what and who would it be? Mine would be bluegill pattern jointed shad rap, black(not smoke) with purple flake senko, and a 1/2 oz. aruku lipless. What about you guys? Quote
basscrusher Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 A Zoom old monster bigger than 10.5 inches. Quote
Bass Junkie Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 I'd tell you, but I'd have to kill you.....LOL. No seriously, the ideas I have for baits I wanna keep for my own personal use, and a few select people. Quote
Thefishy1 Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Well mines already been made, they just need to make it cheaper because if I could afford it this would be all I would ever throw. Quote
Captain Obvious Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 black(not smoke) with purple flake senko, There are plenty of guys on this forum who pour there own plastics, I'm sure you can find someone who could pour that, its fairly simple. As for me I've already have drawn plans for many baits and am in the process of making them Quote
Super User Munkin Posted June 13, 2010 Super User Posted June 13, 2010 Solid black Berkley chigger craw. RC 1.5 chrome, dark gray back and MS scales. I would be happy if they brought back a lot of the discontinued baits myself. Allen Quote
ib_of_the_damned Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 A weedless soft plastic lipless crankbait with an embedded EWG hook like the huddlestons. I think I would have more confidence throwing one of those because of the fact that it will not hang up. I have no problem sharing this because I hope someone will make one as I do not know the first thing about making baits. Quote
basser223 Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 a topwater frog that dives when pulled and the legs push out like a real frog Quote
Super User OkobojiEagle Posted June 14, 2010 Super User Posted June 14, 2010 Mine is actually a tool... stainless steel needle nose pliars with replaceable cutting blades suitable for braid snipping and a grooved diamond dust hook file built into the outside of one jaw (at < 20.00 cost). Quote
Redhed Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 A Zoom old monster bigger than 10.5 inches. i have caught most of my largest bass on old monsters in any purple color. mainly black grape.. FTW!! Quote
Redhed Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Well mines already been made, they just need to make it cheaper because if I could afford it this would be all I would ever throw. very nice! how do you rig this? what size hook? noticed the weights were centered. that is awesome! Quote
Thefishy1 Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 I pull the weights out and texas rig it, or for fishing deep just rig it on a football head cast to a rockpile and hold on. Quote
Redhed Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 I pull the weights out and texas rig it, or for fishing deep just rig it on a football head cast to a rockpile and hold on. good deal. its a great looking realistic bait for sure... btw sorry about your baseball team. that last game was a great game. i was pulling for you guys btw, do you rig it backwards (the way the craws normally run) or do you rig it forward with the eye of the hook facing out of the face? Quote
Thefishy1 Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Yea, it was a great game, we were all really pumped because baseball is one of our strongest sports here but there is always next year I guess. I dont have a pic of how I rig it but it looks just like the one on the left in the pic. The middle one is a dead crawfish and the two outside ones are the fake ones. Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted June 14, 2010 Super User Posted June 14, 2010 I wish 3/4 ounce dropshot weights were readily available. Quote
lightsout Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 A jointed rapala minnow in the x rap patterns and not the standard offerings with the 1/2'' wide seam running down the middle Quote
Super User J Francho Posted June 14, 2010 Super User Posted June 14, 2010 I wish 3/4 ounce dropshot weights were readily available. Just use regular old bell sinkers. Nothing special required for bubba shotting. Quote

The main problem I can see is the hook point and line tie would be to close to work. Let me look at some lipless baits and see if it is possible. Allen Quote

Allen Maybe instead of an EWG it could be a weighted Kahle hook or weighted octopus/circle hook. I see what you are saying with the line tie. It needs to be on the top, not the front. Thats why I'm thinking Kahle or Circle type hook. Quote
Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted June 15, 2010 Super User Posted June 15, 2010 i would take the space monkey and rage toad and make them 3 times larger than they are ready are !!!! Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted June 15, 2010 Super User Posted June 15, 2010 Rage Tail soft plastics are better than any "custom made". I also feel the same about several GYCB products. 8-) Quote
