Okay so I've used alot of diff types of mono..I already use some braid and flouro but I'm still a big fan of mono..of course I use diff lines for diff apps just like everyone else..I've been through all sorts of monos from cheap to expensive and always end back up with stren somewhere down the line ..it's hard to beat and it's just good line..I've been using suffix braid for a while now on a rod or two and love it..more less I'm curious about suffix mono? Give me your opinions plz

back when the BPS classic sale was going on, i got big spools of sufix siege mono for $5, normally priced the flyer said was $18-22 or something like that. couldnt pass that deal up even though i had never used it.

ive only gotten out a few times so far this year, but so far so good with the sufix siege. i havent had any knot or breakage issues. the line is pretty strong it seems. one negative i seen is fraying, but i seen the same issues with trilene xl i had been using and it never was a major problem with the XL. every now and then or after a fish just check the first few feet of your line and retie your lure as needed, which is a good habit to practice anyways....i like the line and would recommend it, i have tried it in various sizes as well. in my opinion so far its very comparable to the trilene xl.

Sufix Elite is probably the best Mono I've used, I really like it.

I would have to give a thumbs up to Sufix Elite too.

I use 8# elite in lo vis green for my jerk/top water baits and 10# seige in smoke green for my soft plastics. Love both, I used to use Stren because it is good line and have used Trilene because it was cheap. I deffinately think the quality of the sufix is better from the way they put the line on the packaging spool to the line itself. The elite is very "soft" felxiable and castable, the siege is very durable and just plain strong, does have a little more memory than the elite imo.

Think of Sufix Elite as Trilene XL and Sufix Siege as Trilene XT. I don't use a lot of mono but Elite is the one I use when I do.

I literally just got done spooling up my first reel with 6 lb Elite. Just from the spooling process I can tell I'm going to love how limp it is. I've used Seige quite a bit in 8 and 10 lb on my spinning reels and like it too.

Another vote for Elite. it does have a bit of stretch to it, though. That is offset by just how supple it is. It is really good line. Cheap too.

Its a good line I liked better then berkely big game but its more expensive. I used it for while then switched back to big game.

I've used both Elite and Siege as well as trilene xl and xt.  The Elite was very soft, supple, and user friendly but in my opinion had wayyyy too much stretch for my liking. Siege handled very similar to xt , a little softer than xt but was not as durable and had more stretch. Of the two suffix monos I preferred siege. But with that being said; I think both big game and xt are better lines if you make very long casts and/or if your line touches anything but water.

Suffix is great mono! Elite and Siege are both great...can't beat the price either.

I also always switch back to mono.  Elite is my favorite.  Very smooth when cinching the knot.   I don't think it lasts as long as Big Game though.

Suffix elite is pretty good line. Once I tried Izorline XXX, I switched tho. Best mono I've used. Lasts longer than Elite. Never used siege.

Sufix makes good line, period. Some of the best mono available IMO. Performance braid, Seige, and the "NEW" fluoro is the ducks nuts.

Suffix does last longer but its 3x as expensive. A 330yard spool of 12# suffix seige is $9 a 1175yard spool of big game is $9.

I have use both Siege and Elite. I prefer Elite because it handles better than siege. The Siege had pretty good abrasion resistance, but the crap had terrible memory and coiled up every cast. I know how to put line on a reel the right way, and I know I did, but the stuff was not for me. I took it off and it looked like a powdered wig that I could stick on my head. I managed to use the whole spool, but I cant really say I enjoyed it....

Elite for spinning, and Siege for casting gear.

Suffix mono cannot be beat imo, especially for the price. Tie a good knot and with 12lb line, you will straighten a hook before the line will break. No joke my buddies get amazed at this all the time when i get hung up and ask what kind of line im using. Then they dont believe me when i tell them its 12lb test when they see how hard im pullin straight back lol

Been using 12# Elite on for 3-4 years on a couple reels.  I like it.  This is the second year my daughter has been using Siege Neon Tangerine on her baitcaster.  I like the color and put some on one of my reels to use this year.  Should make for easier line watching.

Like the suffix siege for flipping or skipping docks light cover. it is a little stiff tho i like the elite also it is softer but holds a lot of memory in the line i use the 12lb for leader.
