I have tried them a couple of times with no luck.

I love the old Reel Magic lures that Roland Martin used to endorse. They were money in and over heavy cover. That was back before frogs became the deal.

The Hounds don't seem to glide the same as the Reel Magic's to me. It makes a weird jerky movement when you stop it.

They are heavier and thicker than the Reel Magic's. I have only tried them on one set up (braid), may try some other variations on tackle.

Still love the theory of being able to walk the dog through the heavy stuff.

I have used them with some pretty good success...  Getting a good hookset on them is the tough part but as far as movement, castability and durability I would say they are pretty good...

There was another thread several months back now where we talked about these little guys and there was some good feedback there.

I've picked up a couple packs myself but have only had limited opportunities to use them. I have caught bass with them and had no problems getting a good hookset. With the advice from the other thread, the smaller models were easier to walk than the larger ones (I picked up the smaller ones). Castability, I've had no issues here either. Was able to get decent distance casting them into the wind as well as with the wind. Haven't used them enough to comment on the durability piece.
