Just got my first *** in and paired it with a lews tournament, it's sick! Glad I took you guys advice on it!!!

Sweet setup, let me know how it performs for you. That's the same setup I want for my next Texas Rig. *** with a Lews T Pro. What setup specs did you get?

They are killer rods. I like it better than my Crucial.

I used it today it performed really well, but being that I only caught a few small ones on it it's hard to give a 5 star review.. I will say the sensitivity is great! I just recently spooled my tournament with 15lb AbrazX so I decided to keep that on , and that's what I will stay with! I did buy some 1/8 tungsten weights for the first time ,just to try with the new rod, I don't know if its the weight, rod, or the line but the sensitivity is amazing... I was always Ancy on trying tungsten because of the price but I'm glad I did!!

I bought this rod for light Texas rigs.. I usually throw 1/8 weights with baby brush hogs, liards, 6.0 to 7.5 curly tail worms or go weightless rage tail products and senkos..

A few guys here said go with medium heavy for that application while others said go with medium! I could not make my mind up at all.. I emailed *** and within a hour he responded and told me medium fast will be the best choice for what I wanted to do with it..

I went with the 7-1 medium fast!

The only thing I think could improve on it is micro guides!!!

Love mine as well. I've caught a few over 5# now with my medium fast.

Worked great. Stays loaded up nicely keeps that hook set real nice. I honestly felt like the little ones seemed like more of a struggle on that rod lol

Thanks for the info! That helped me decide, that is the exact same Texas rig style of fishing I do. Same lures and all. I too am gonna try some tungsten and see if I like it. I like to feel everything I can.

I really like the 3 I have. 7' 3" M/F Spinning, 7' 3" M/F Bait Caster and 7' 3" MH/F Bait Caster.  Have caught a lot of fish on all 3 of these rods ranging from 1lbs to around 5lbs and have not had an issue with any of them.

Light, sensitive and very well built and just flat out perform...

I was able to snag a 6'7" M/F off of c-list for $50 nwt yesterday. I'm going to pair it up with a tour edition 6.3:1 and use it primarily for spinners and buzzbaits.......I can't wait to get this thing on the water and the fact that I bought for 50% off of retail only sweetens things!

*** is coming out with a crank bait rod soon. Stetson Blaylock was spotted using one, and it's been dubbed the "Crankenstein" though I'm sure that's not the official name. Can't wait to see what they look like.

Cranking rod would be sweet and I like the crankenstein name!

It figures 13 would come out with a cranking rod, since I just bought a Crucial lol.

I believe it is only going to be available in the *** series at first.

That figures.

Just won a free *** from ***. Excited to see how it handles.

That's awesome I can't get that lucky!!

Great rods. They will feel tip heavy until u stick a reel on then it will balance perfectly.

Great rod! These guys talked me into one as well. I use it for jerkbaits. One thing I don't like about it is that it's rated for light baits but doesn't toss them good until you get up to 1/4 oz. Would've liked to throw some Keiteks with it. Rod definitely has the sensitivity for swimbaits.

After doing a lot of research on here and looking at reviews on the internet, I am ordering my first *** Rod today (***, 7'1 M) - hope it lives up to everything I have read.  Plan to break it in next weekend.

You'll love it. I really want an *** but I don't wanna drop that much on a rod.

I was going to buy a couple Envys during the memorial day sales... Ended up with a dx744 and 745 instead.  I've also been super impressed with Kistlers KLX!  Man thats a lot of rod for the money!
