Just saying hello, Im from North Ridgeville ohio and have a fishing problem. (not really a problem tho)

I Love fishing small lakes and ponds, and been starting to hit rivers. Ive been fishing for 20-23 years with a few off here and there due to other hobbies and being busy.

Looking into getting my first bass boat and really hitting it hard. Right now Sunday mornings are dedicated to fishing along with a few ngihts after work. I haev a nie riverspot right behind my work so it works out well. There is some nice bronzebacks and trout in there.

Well thanks for having me and hope to pick up new tips and techniques from some more experianced fisherman!

Welcome! I'm new as well, trying to find some good spots. My wife and I went to la due this morning and couldn't catch anything worth bragging about, my wife caught some 2-4lb large mouth but I couldn't get anything. Any good spots in Ohio you would recommend? I'm 10mi south of Cleveland and willing to travel.

Thanks Jeff! A little surprised at the lack of greetings with all the views.

Thanks fishoff! You too! And I haven't found a great spot yet. Findley state

Parks ok, and caught some 16"ERS at Wallace. That's a out it for lakes. The cuyahoga has spots just gotta find the right ones. I'm working on one now. I'll know better in the am how it is.

I'm actually disappointed in the spots I've been trying. But I will eventually come across some good ones! Where did you two catch yours at?

We were at la due out by Ravenna/punderson down 422east...went there last weekend with my buddy and didn't catch anything but we found a new spot behind the boat house that's pretty good, lots of sea weed though. I'm gonna go to la due again tomorrow but early this time and see what I can get. A guy told me he had a 24" catfish night fishing last weekend. They had a bass tournament yesterday so there were a lot of boats out. Unfortunately I'm limited to the shore at the moment so I'm at a slight disadvantage. Let me know how your spot works out for you

Back from la due, no luck again...my wife and I were out there by 7 and ended up getting a boat this time. Started off with some surface lures didn't get anything at all. Put ourselves in a good spot, fish breaching water every 10 minutes or so and eventually switched to a 6" worm and didn't get anything. To add insult to injury, the guy fishing off the shore caught a 5lber right next to where I was casting... It seems like I'm doing something wrong, just not sure what...

I hear ya, we checked out the river around 6 but it was to high and fast today. Then went to the mouth of the cuyahoga and had no luck. But like you the guy down from us shows up and pulled in a few rather quick. He was using live bait and we were all lures.

We decided to just go off some break walls in the lake and landed a few large mouths and smallies. Nothing huge but plenty big to keep ya entertained. I think I'm gonna go check that place out again next Sunday.

I haven't caught anything other than some small blue gill so far this year. I'm going down to Florida on Friday for a week, hopefully I can do some fishing down there while my wife is shopping or laying at the beach. I might try to go somewhere after work one day this week, we'll see though. I'm starting to believe these fish don't exist!

I work in north royalton and live in seven hills but I manage properties from wickliffe to twinsburg to wadsworth so I'm all over the place just about every day

I see, I was trying to think of some ok places you could go. Berea has Wallace lake it's eh. Better in am I'd assume. Could always try the river if your in the independence area around 4:30. I work in valley view.

Where do you fish the river in independence?
