So there's a possibabitly i might have to move and florida might be the place. It's not up to me it's up to my dad. Im really going to be upset leaving behind some family, friends, memories, and can't forget my unpressured honey holes. All i've every know is Massachusetts. Im not entirely sure where the location will be. It will be south flordia. Maybe somewhere around Fort Myers. I know im moving down to one of the best fishing states, but my question is is there alot of places to fish that don't get pounded? Like smaller bodys of water under 100 acres? Where i live im used to fishing a different pond everyday. Some less than a 3 acres others around 80 etc... From what i've seen theres tons of places that hold bass, but alot of them are no tresspassing or private neighborhood ponds with little no uniqueness. Just round ponds with docks and vegatation. Again im only going on what i've seen or heard. Any help is really appreciated as fishing will be the only thing keeping me sane once i move lol.

P.S

Theres a possibility i could move on a pond as my father likes to fish as well. I got no clue, but are option are pretty open. I'd hate to move to a pond filled with lots of unhealthy dinks.

Again thanks eveyone on bass resource and tight lines

It is what you make of it. Man you will be good here, year round fishing, nice weather.

Atleast in St. Pete and Jax the ponds around most no one cares you fish them.

And most are not that heavily pressured. They ones in subdivisions are sorta bland but each one has it own quirks and if you fish the same ones enough you will learn them. And you can get some nice fish out of small ponds.

plus there is always a chance to start saltwater fishing too. I tell you will find a nice piece of beach and wade out and work a top water plug. Let google earth giude you.

theres plenty of places to fish down here you will have a blast on foot or in a small boat.

A lot of these water holding ponds along the highways have been stocked with bass, brim, catfish.  Try them out.  Also get a job on a golf course, ponds are loaded.  Also there are a lot of ponds/lakes in the towns and cities that can be fished from the shoreline.   you won't have any trouble fishing florida.  Bring plenty of plastic worms!

The great thing about florida is that any body of water that has been around for just a year or two will have bass in it. I've caught 5 pounders out of ditches.

Good, just been busy. Going to try to get out and fish more within the next few weeks.

Fishing is unlimited here whether on foot or by boat.  My freshwater spots get no real pressure and saltwater is an issue of fish looking for bait.  Even on a crowded beach everyone is either catching or not, depending if the fish are around.

Thanks everyone! Im really exitcted to check out some local waters. I will primarily be fishing freshwater as im not to big of a saltwater guy. I really enjoy fishing for largemouth in heavy cover and i know flordia's got plenty of that. Once im settled down i really would love the opportunity to meet some of you if instrested. Meeting some people who love fishing would really be a good start an getting the chance to make some new friendships.

There is more water than you can imagine. Pressured or not, if you know what you are doing, the lines will stay tight. You can catch bass in a rain puddle in the street in Florida. Just get a small boat and you are golden.

Good luck with the move.

Don't always cast out to the middle of the lake.  I have caught bass just flipping grass and bushes just waking the shoreline. Where are you moving to?

definately check out google earth in the area you will move to...i have found plenty of lakes i had no idea were there even living in the same area for 29 years lol

and if you move to palm beach ill tell you a spot thats excellent for giant snook in july/august(20+ lbers all the time) and you dont need a boat :D

Dont worry about areas being pounded, the fish have a brain the size of a BB. They'll bite again.
